What is the distance from the side edge of the monitor to the lit part of the screen? I'm shopping for a multi-monitor setup and want the smallest black bands possible. Thanks!

Nathan, it's exactly 1/2" on the sides and the top, and 1 3/8" at the bottom.

Does this monitor come with the display cables?

According to the box I still have in my garage, it comes with a VGA cable and 3.5mm stereo audio cable, and the box does not mention any other video cables.  It definitely did not come with an HDMI cable, which I would recommend.  The picture is not as good with VGA.

Can you 'daisy chain' two of these monitors together?

it has the ports to daisy chain them i have not  done so i only have one monitor .   but this should work : ) .  one note is this is a  lovely monitor with great responce times and color. but if you  like to have your monitor turn on in reall fast this is not fo you takes 1-3 sec to wake from sleep. hope this helps and i wish i could afford 2 i have 2 mnonitors now and  looking for 3.: )

It says glossy in the title is the the bezel or the screen that glossy if it the screen that a deal breaker for me?

The bezel that is part of the actual casement is very thin on the top and sides so you don't notice them. The bottom part is about an inch wide and it is not a high gloss so I never find it distracting. The screen is matte.

What is the image height of this monitor (in cm or inches, doesn't matter)? By that, I mean from the bottom edge of the actual display area to the top edge of the display area.

Math can help here! An HD display has an aspect ratio of 16:9, that is, 16 units wide and 9 units high. A right triangle with these dimensions has a hypotenuse of sqrt((16*16)+(9*9)) = 18.36
Therefore, an HD screen with a 27-inch diagonal has a height of 9*(27/18.36) = 13.2 inches.
I also verified this using a tape measure on this monitor sitting in front of me, but I did the math first. :-)

Difference between or advantages of this model vs. AOC e2752SHE?

I believe this model looks better than E2752SHE, both in viewing angle and overall color reproduction, because of its IPS panel.

However, E2752SHE has lower response time (2ms vs 5ms), not that it'd make a big difference in gaming (this is just my opinion though).

Power cable and PC cable. You will need to buy hdmi cable. This monitor it's the best you can get. I have replaced all my monitors at my dental practice with this one.

How do I get Windows 10 to use all of the screen's real estate?  I just bought this monitor, connected via hdmi.  I am using Windows 10 and I can't get the Desktop to extend to the edges of the monitor.  There is about 3/4" black border around the Desktop.  I've ensured that my drivers are all up-to-date, and Windows 10 is up-to-date.  I'm running with best (recommended) resolution.  Nothing seems to give me the extra real estate.  Well, actually, if I lower the resolution then I can get the Desktop to use more of the screen.  But, that's not the reason I bought this monitor...  :-)   Any help would be appreciated!

I actually own 2 of these displays. I too run Windows 10 pro but I use Display Port for my connections to my pc. I also have 2 Nvidia GTX 1080's. So I'm not sure what the issue could be. The only thing I know to do is to use the display properties in Windows to adjust the screen resolution. I can't remember off hand what exactly those properties consist of but I do know you can adjust quite a bit. Also, try using the OSD on the display to adjust the screen space so it takes up the whole screen. Again, I'm not sure about the exact menu as I'm at work presently. Try using a different type of input connection if possible to rule out the HDMI connection. I hope this helps. Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.

Is this monitor compatible with my Mac Mini OS X Yosemite?

Yes. And device with HDMI will work with this monitor.For an iMac or any non-retina MacBook, however, a thunderbolt/mini-display port to HDMI adapter would be needed.

The speakers on this monitor are crappy FYI. I would recommend using different external speakers.

The picture and display is amazing however. plus super thin and light, great for an adjustable arm

What is the full product width? I am a part of a team retrofitting a multi-platform emulator to an old arcade machine. Part of this restoration involves outfitting it with a new screen. I need a unit that is under 24.5 inches in width.

It will be tight.  I measured across the top, and it is just under, maybe by 1/32 inch.Across the bottom, there is something about an inch high attached on the front, with the AOC logo and markers denoting the buttons underneath.  I don't know whether it could be easily removed.  That extends a tiny bit, making the width just under 24.5, too close to measure a difference.  Any warpage, or manufacturing variance, and you might go over 24.5.  Or if my ruler isn't perfect ...  It also increase the depth of the monitor a little at the bottom.

On other oddity -- my wife thought she saw a few burnt pixels [always red] that showed up recently, but they may just appear during commercials on some free games, so it could be software or video card issues and not the monitor.  I haven't investigated this, but if other people complain of bad pixels that might be worrisome.
