This Monitor is Awesome. 10/4/2017 2:58:36 PM

Pros: Nice picture, Games well, colors on it are incredible with a little tinkering.

Cons: It's not an Asus Rog

Overall Review: Got the monitor in the mail today. Downloaded Adobe RGB profile for it and played with the settings. It comes with a drivers and software disk so you can skirt the built in menu. This is a very nice monitor for the money. No dead pixels, No lines in the screen. A square in the top left corner was lighter than the rest until I played with the settings. Definitely looks like I paid way more money for it than I did. I've been gaming on it for the last 3 hours and it holds it own. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for the best bang for the buck.

Excellent monitor! 12/19/2016 8:39:03 AM

Pros: It's all good. The display image, as far as I can tell, is perfect, regardless if I'm gaming or watching movies. The colors are vibrant. There's no bleedthrough.

Cons: There is no cable guides behind the monitor or its base. But the is really a minor thing.

Overall Review: This is a good value. Especially if you catch it on sale.

What is there not to like? 8/28/2016 6:29:00 AM

Pros: It's pretty large, in my opinion, and it's one of the cheapest 2560x1440 monitors that I could find. I've had no problems at all, and I purchased it nearly 4 months ago.

Cons: I guess the height of the screen cannot be raised or lowered, but I personally couldn't care less. It can still be tilted, so it really isn't the end of the world.

Overall Review: I've never even heard of this brand before, but I can assure you this product is not disappointing.

The perfect 2k monitor! (but no cake) 8/26/2016 7:40:41 AM

Pros: 1. It's 2k res, and a well build 2k res monitor
2. Nice, adjustable brightness and contrast
3. Price was good for today's monitor prices.

Cons: 1. Even if it was the cheapest, it was still a little expensive at the time of buying ($350)
2. It can make PICTURES of celebratory cake, but it doesn't actually make celebratory cake

Overall Review: Originally, this review was about a broken monitor, but turns out, (actually kinda worse but doesn't apply to the review) it was the integrated graphics on my processor that broke, but that doesn't matter because I got a GPU installed and everything runs smoothly. Yay! Let's celebr... oh right, there was no cake. :(

Probably won't last long 8/8/2016 4:07:51 PM

Pros: Looks good.
No dead pixels.

Cons: Might be dying soon. It's starting to pop up weird monitor graphical effects after a little over a year of use. For example:
Where the menu/startup logo would be in, it will show up a weird box in the middle of the screen in different colors. Sometime red, sometimes green.
Other times, it will show a weird gel/glue like box that spans the entire screen.
These visual errors only show up during games. Afaik, gpu errors wouldn't do these. The games I'm playing isn't particularly demanding on the gpu. They look more like where the lcd is attached is manifesting itself thru the monitor.
I haven't noticed these problems during video playback and I usually watch a couple of hours a day at fullscreen.

Overall Review: It's generally on around 16 hours a day. It has no vents from what I can tell, but it generally receives colder than ambient air blowing on it from another source. The back isn't hot, and the lcd generally is the only warm part. So I'm not sure if it's an overheating issue.

I'm kinda hesitant to issue an rma since it's a 27" screen. It will be too expensive to get them to check it when it's not fully broken yet. I suppose it still has 2 years to go before the warranty expires.

Looks good, ghosting issue when black on light color 6/11/2016 4:39:25 AM

Pros: Was relatively cheap for a 2K monitor.
No dead pixels.
Color looks fine
Easy to hook up

Cons: 1MS response time is not real for major color transitions and black on any lighter color has very visible halo/ghosting when moving.
Display Port can fail to display and requires the power cord to be unplugged for a few seconds and plugged back in to work again.

Overall Review: 2K isn't the best for a work monitor. Everything is so tiny, but that is not this monitor's fault. That is a resolution issue. If you enlarge things to be visible, you have no more space than you would with a 1920x1200 monitor.

If you don't mind ghosting from dark colors moving to light colors or the display port problem, sure, go for it. No major reason not to.

Power and resolution issues 4/28/2016 6:15:03 PM

Pros: Works... now.

Cons: This monitor has power issues. Google search revealed others with the same issue. If/When the monitor loses power, it no longer recognizes any input signal. You have to unplug both the input cable and power cable, let the capacitors inside fully discharge (about 30 seconds) and then plug it back in. Using a DVI-D Dual Link cable (Max resolution supported by this cable is 2560x1600 @60Hz). In spite of this the monitor is only achieving 1920x1080.

Overall Review: Seems defective out of the box... shouldn't have to unplug the power cable to get this thing to recognize the input.

Great value, not IPS but close. 11/23/2015 5:05:48 PM

Pros: 2560x1440 resolution at 60hz
1ms response time
Narrow borders
Great colors after a little calibration
3 year warranty

Cons: TN panel, not IPS as it intimates on the Overview page in the Newegg Specifications!
VGA cable included, not sure why when the max resolution of vga is 1920x1200.
No height adjustment
Color a little off until calibrated.

Overall Review: After unboxing I was quite impressed by the build quality, the borders are narrow, however they are glossy, so can be a bit of a finger print magnet. No height adjustment, which may be a deal breaker for some, however it sits at the correct height for me. This is a TN panel and not IPS. Initially I was a little confused as the overview page at Newegg shows and IPS logo. This is clearly a mistake and needs to be rectified. Not sure why it also shows USB 3.0 too.

Anyway, once the monitor was set up (little disappointed about the vga cable included as this is a 2560x1440 monitor so anyone using the vga cable will only be able to use the monitor at 1920x1200), it was a little washed out. Easily rectified by calibration and for anyone without a calibration tool there are some profiles available online and these are easily installed. Setting the brightness to 20 allowed for a reading of 150cd/m2 which is where I like to leave it in my slightly dim office.

The screen uniformity was good, no bright spots or dead pixels. The monitor is completely flicker free as it does not use PWM to adjust brightness.

I was not able to test response time, however I didn’t notice any ghosting during my gaming sessions.

Quite an impressive monitor for the money, great value. Default colors can be improved with a little calibration making it even more impressive.
