Yup, look for batteries of the right dimensions, terminal connectors, voltage, and amperage. don't buy directly from APC and if possible get a recycle battery. the info you are looking for is below.

I bought two of these. The batteries appear to have been new, I have had no issues with my units and have been very please with them. They have performed flawlessly in a very rural area with "dirty" power.

Question 3

I have a 600 w computer and plan on using it along with several other electronics. Would the 450w bottleneck my devices?

Bottle necking is the wrong term or not the term I think you are looking for. This will in no way harm the performance of your computer and will actually "stabilize" the power somewhat coming out of your wall (or at least that is what a good UPS does). I have mine set to the tightest tolerances and kicks on above 136 volts and below 96 volts (wish it could kick on closet to target but oh well), but it provides cleaner and more stable power to your computer and electronics.

Now for my primary gaming computer the only thing that is plugged into that UPS is the computer into the controller outlet and my gaming monitor into the other switched controlled outlet. I have another older monitor plugged into the surge protected outlet as well as my work laptop but they don't draw from battery power and just turn off when the device switches to battery power. under normal browsing or light load I draw about ~100-120 watts of power, but tell it to shut off when there is 8 mins of batter remaining which gives me ~30 minutes at idle or 5-10 minutes of gaming.

I have another one of these that is hooked up to a unraid server that I run and I have that one also plugged into my modem and router. I have that one shut down after only being on battery for 5 minutes but have the router and modem plugged into battery outlets that are not controlled by the device they are plugged into. This way the server shuts off safely almost instantly and then I still have wireless internet for a few hours as those two devices draw very little power.

Overall I understand your confusion as the UPS's are rated in Watt/hours and Power Supplies are rated in Watts, but PS's that is just the maximum power they CAN produce, not the load they are pulling all the time. Also the higher tier PS rating (unrated >white > silver > gold > platinum) the longer it will be able to supply power to the same machine from the same UPS, but the difference could probably be measured in seconds maybe a minute at 450Ws.
