Is this a genuine APC brand or is it a third party brand?

This a genuine APC brand Battery Cartridge. I had no issue with my order and the replacement worked as if I bought it directly from Schnieder.

What are the dimensions and weight of the APC RBC24 Replacement Battery Cartridge #24?

The dimensions are 3.25" x 8.5" x 13.5" and the approximate weight is 26.31 lbs.

What is the expected battery life of the APC RBC24 Replacement Battery Cartridge #24?

The expected battery life is between 3 to 5 years.

Does it come with the pieces of wood like the photo shows? Are they custom pieces of wood? Are hardwood species or soft better for this application? If I use cedar will my server room smell better?

I'm assuming this is not a serious question. The pieces of wood are, of course, in there so the batteries don't shift around in transit and break free from the tray. You remove the wood shims and throw away before installing the battery into the UPS.
