how do you clear the replace battery led?

I'd replace the battery.  If that's already been done, maybe run the run-time test, or fully charge it, put a 100W light bulb on as a load, and unplug it till it goes dead, then charge it back up again?

Is this a real "XL" = Extended Run unit? I do not see that mentioned anywhere in the specs at all. I have about 15 older 1000XL and 2200XL units that are over 15 years old that need to be replaced now. Can someone confirm this is the XL, as I need to in some cases chain up to 10 battery packs for the extra run time.

Yes it is the XL unit with extended run battery packs, the main unit comes with one 24 volt battery pack made up of 2-18 amp 12 volt batteries, the extendable battery pack (SUA24XLBP) has two sets of batteries each 2-12 volt 18 amp batteries, each battery extend unit has a capacity of 36 amps at 24 volts, you can also upgrade the main unit and battery extendable units with 22 amp 12 volt batteries, giving you a 22% more run time
