top or bottom mount?

Depends on case. For my Lian Li cube case, it is a bottom mount..BUT would only mount upside down, rendering the whole clear cover pretty much useless to look at lol.

I dont understand why so many have problems with this PSU, Ive had this one for 6 months now without a hitch, powering a ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z , AMD 8350 @4.2ghz, 8 gb ram,CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i,Western Digital WD Black WD5003AZEX 500GB,Corsair Neutron 256GB SATA III Internal SSD, and a SAPPHIRE  Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 OC Version all without a single rma, or problem. Ive owned other Apevias, last one was the one this replaced - it was 7 years old, still working - but really dusty and dirty , so I tossed it.

DOSE THIS CHANGE ALL TIME OR JUST ONE COLOR AT A TIME

When it turns on it starts up in one color and stays at that color until you change the color. The color does not change automatic. The color reverts to the original color after shutdown and when you start it up next time.

So, (I would love to smack that 'Add to Cart' button for this all. after looking at Rail Amperes and total currents over all the plugs, Yet what is making me stop before buying is the "Manual Fan Speed" dial.) 
~Q: I know I would play with that fan dial if I was an owner of this PSU, yet if I was to forget about the speed at a lower-ish RPM, there wouldn't be any override to speed up that fan to cool out the power supply case and the PC case? This is why I'm not already looking at a order for this APEVIA Iceberg 680.

Hello! This is actually the third APEVIA Iceberg Power Supply that I have bought, I teach IT and we have these in our old, but awesome CLEAR PC Cases and also a PC We built on a peg board to Show the parts all working (my students "Thinking out of the BOX" PC project)!  These make Great Eye Candy for all who sees them! We have "played with" the features you have described but I have never had any problems as the 680W has been much more than aliquant for my use. I actually forgot that I can adjust it!  I use one machine for a Thin Client Host and this might actually be useful the other is a Linux box... and my PC on the Wall.

I have been using these PRODUCTS for many, many years (10+) and I will continue no matter what, I love them!

Also would this psu be ok for new 8350 8 core with ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer AM3+ board ?

I have been running this with no problems and excellent performance on thebtop of the line Asus board with a 8350 8 core (watercooled) and a single video card. Works great, but wouldn't run it with more then one video card.

Ok i need ri know can i mount this in a bottom mounted case ? does it have the screw holes for am i going to have to mount it where the clear side is covered ? Its going in to the NZXT Phantom White full tower case with red leds . having prob finding psu with red lights

Hey, I bought this 2 months ago, it easily mounts to a bottom mounted case, that's how mine is. Nice power supply, quiet, cool. I have no complaints.

my new motherboard has 8 pin cpu connector is this compatible with a msi970a-g43 mother board?

Yes, but I would not suggest this power supply! When I first got it the wires inside were touching the fan and I had to use a long screwdriver in order to move them to get it stop making the whole 'playing card on a bicycle tire' noise. I ended up taking it out about 2 months after installation due to instability. I was using it on a system that maybe consumed 240 watts total, but was getting all kinds of problems. I replaced it with a Corsair CX600m and have had no issues since. I would honestly suggest getting a better power supply like a Corsair CX series or a Seasonic or something. They should be around the same price, but you'll know you're getting something reliable. Let your components be components and add your led/vanity pieces separately!

is this 24 pin? i read another page same item and it says it has 24 pin and 20-4 pin connecters is this true? plz help.

yes it's both there's 1 connection that's 20 pins but if you need a 24 pin there's a connection that has 4 pins  you connect both of them for the 24 pin hope that helps

I have a HP pavilion p6720f pc . Is this compatible ?

Yes.  Power Supplies are generic items that works in any PC.  The only concern should be dimensions.  BTW this thing is still running and I have it on 24/7 with occasional reboot.
