I'll be running an i5 processor and 3 hard drives in a RAID array.  Will this PS be beefy enough for that?

I have a similar setup in my PC. The wattage should be plenty for what you have but it is a cheaper brand and I actually had to RMA mine within a year after I purchased it but that could have just been a defect. Since then, it has worked with no problem

would this power supply unit work for the GA 990 FXA UD3 motherboard, i wont be maxing it out it will be the 6 core cpu and 16gb of 1600 ram a calculator said i actually only needed 204 watts but small upgrades will be made, just want to make sure its gonna fit?

Short answer: Yes. 
Advise: don't buy this PSU. Check the reviews on this unit and you'll see its prone to failure in most standard applications. I myself bought this same unit because it was cheap and it shorted in a minimal SLI set up the second day, after maybe 2hrs of use. Save yourself the frustration of your pc randomly shutting off and not turning back on by going with something at least bronze rated. It might cost you $10-20more, but it's 100% worth it.

Does it fit in micro tax case?

It will fit in most Micro ATX cases.  Unless your case requires a small form factor, or custom power supply, this is the standard power supply for all Micro ATX and Full ATX cases.
