What it does
When using the D5 NEXT under an ULTITUBE D5, this bracket allows additional fastening via the base plate of the pump. The pump base gets extra support this way, and the weight of the unit is spread out, which leads to a favorable force distribution.
What you need with it
The bracket is made for the pump and reservoir pair that Aquacomputer also sells assembled, such as the ULTITUBE D5 100 PRO reservoir with D5 NEXT pump. To build the pair from parts, take an ULTITUBE D5 reservoir like the ULTITUBE D5 100 and the D5 NEXT. To hang the reservoir on a fan mount, there is the 120 mm fan bracket for ULTITUBE D5.
