Aquacomputer ULTITUBE 50 Reservoir with D5 PWM Pump (34155)

    • The reservoirs of the ULTITUBE series are equipped with a tube made of borosilicate glass: which in contrast to the Plexiglas often used for tube reservoirs, has a very high hardness and scratch resistance, very low thermal expansion and excellent
    • A filter element made of fine stainless steel wire mesh is integrated into the bottom of the container, which, in addition to its function as a particle filter, also separates air bubbles. The filter element is integrated into a molded rubber part
    • An Aqua Computer D5 PWM pump is mounted directly on the bottom of the reservoir. The performance of the pump can be set using a PWM signal, and a tachometer signal is also available to monitor the pump function.
    • The pump's electronically commutated spherical motor runs extremely quietly and has a long service life. When developing the expansion tank, attention was also paid to optimal flow behavior, the result is extremely quiet and smooth-running operation

The Aquacomputer ULTITUBE 50 Reservoir with D5 PWM Pump (34155) is a tube reservoir of approx. 110 ml with an Aqua Computer D5 PWM pump mounted directly in its base, G1/4 connection threads and a 65 mm borosilicate glass tube. Fittings are not included.

    Properties

    • Pump: D5 PWM, built in, PWM input and speed signal
    • Filling volume: approx. 110 ml
    • Thread connection: G1/4
    • Maximum head: 3.7 m water column at 12 V
    • Glass tube: borosilicate glass, 65 mm outer diameter, 5 mm wall thickness, 50 mm long
    • Dimensions: approx. 72 x 72 x 150 mm including pump

D5 PWM pump in the base

The performance of the pump is set using a PWM signal, and a tachometer (tacho) signal is also available to monitor the pump function. Aquacomputer says the electronically commutated spherical motor runs extremely quietly and has a long service life. When developing the expansion tank, it adds, attention was also paid to optimal flow behavior. The result, in Aquacomputer's words, is extremely quiet and smooth-running operation of the pump, with noise and vibration at a bare minimum.

An overheat protection first reduces the pump speed if the temperature rises to a critical level, and shuts the pump down completely if it keeps rising. After cooling down, the pump resumes operation automatically. Even a valid speed signal cannot guarantee an actual flow of coolant.

    Borosilicate glass tube

All reservoirs of the ULTITUBE series are equipped with a borosilicate glass tube rather than the Plexiglas (acrylic glass) often used for tube reservoirs. In contrast to it, Aquacomputer notes, borosilicate glass has a very high hardness and scratch resistance, very low thermal expansion and excellent chemical and thermal resistance. Note that the number 50/100/150/200 in the product name refers to the length of the glass tube in millimeters.

Both ends of the tube are firmly connected with metal rings made of black anodized aluminum, which do not come into contact with the cooling medium. Base and lid are made of durable acetal and screwed to the glass. After unscrewing the cap, there is a large opening that makes filling the expansion tank easy.

    What the loop needs

Voltage supply is via a 4-pin Molex drive connector from the PC's power supply unit. The PWM and tacho signal run separately on a 4-pin fan connector, which goes to a compatible PWM fan header. Mounting material for mounting vertically on the bottom of the case or on a side/rear wall is included, and so are four soft rubber decouplers for decoupling. Reservoir connections are not included: please order suitable G1/4 fittings separately. The next tube length up is the ULTITUBE D5 100 reservoir with D5 PWM pump (34097).

Use Double Protect Ultra coolant or water, never coolants containing solid micro particles: those in various non-transparent/opaque coolants damage the D5 pump bearing. The rotor must face up or to the side during operation, never down. Fill the system with coolant before starting the pump, then deaerate it by gentle swaying or by powering the pump down and up several times until the rattling noises stop. Never let the pump run dry for longer periods of time. The technical specifications below give the dimensions without fastening material.

    In the box
