Question 1

How well does this work with an FX-8350 also will this coler be much of a space hog? Im using a mid tower so I don't want it to take up to much space.

i cant say as to how well it works with an 8350 as I hooked this one toe an amd II 64 I believe it was, as far as space hog thought, not to bad its relatively low profile, only slightly larger than a factory one, the heatsink and fan are all one assembly, the clips that latch onto the cpu plate seem like they are too small but they aren't they just need a small amount of gentle persuasion, this is held in place ONLY by those two clips no locks or screws at all, the directions suck so basically you have to loosen the two screws holding the clips slightly lock it in place then tighten them back up and that is it.  I installed it in a mid tower and it fit just fine no problems so I would say as far as size ur good to go

We have several computers at work that are running the AMD Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition Processors (Socket AM2) will this Cooler work on these machines?

This cooler for AMD will fit AMD Socket FM2, FM1, AM3+, AM3, AM2+, AM2, 939. AMD has kept the retaining mechanism the same on these motherboards. Just watch for space around the cooler so that you don't hit any capacitors etc. (measure the area) I personally have this cooler mounted on an older Foxconn AM2/AM3 motherboard with a Phenom 965BE and just put another one on a new Socket FM2+ Gigabyte board with an A10-6800K (All from Newegg) My friend bought one for her MSI FM2 motherboard and that works great as well. She uses the A10-5800K. This cooler uses a 4-pin fan connector, which is also very nice. It's quality. It's low priced. It works great. It has a very nice warranty. Buy it!   Cheers,  -eL- :)

Question 3

I currently have this fan running on an Atholon II 260 and just received an FX 4300. Does anyone have this on the fx 4300, if so, would this work better than the stock fan?  I've heard the fx processors can run kinda hot with this fan.

I bought this cooler because the stock AMD cooler would not start running after shutdown - I had to open the case to get the fan turning. This cooler does keep my FX4350 (125W) about 2-4 degrees C cooler at idle but since I don't use the processor for gaming I can't say with certainty it absolutely runs cooler at max speed.

That being said, the install was dirt simple. I didn't have to remove the motherboard and it did clear the ram. However, on my MSI 990FXA-GD65 V2 board you would need to install the ram first.

All in all I'm quite happy with this cooler and have not had any issues other than a piece of the plastic cage was broken on arrival but not a big issue and certainly not enough to send it back.

One other thing ... I live in Hawaii with daytime temps 70-85 all year long and no air conditioning so the cooler IS doing the job I need. Idle temp is between 9-15 degrees C with full speed temps going as high as 42C when doing a video conversion.

Does this fan support an AMD3+ CPU socket?

Yes. The Arctic pro site states "Alpine 64 PRO Rev.2 is compatible with AMD Sockets FM2+, AM2, FM1, AM3+, AM3, AM2+, AM2, and 939. " Their site gives fitment specs for all of their fans.

With a similar layout as OEM AMD cooler, does this have the cooling power for FX 8350?

The FX 8350 is rated at 125 watts tdp, and this cooler is only rated at 90 watts tdp.  Although this cooler has a fairly large heatsink, I wouldn,t exceed the specs.  better to play it safe, I use it for over clocking an atholon 260 which meets my needs. for that higer end processor I would recomend going for a higher end cpu cooler.

Does it come with thermal paste or will I need to order one separately?

It  comes with thermal paste.  I always keep extra paste around however as you may want to reposition or reseat the cooler to get the best orientation, in which case I would advise making sure the surface is evenly covered

What is the TPD rating for this fan?

Frostytech tests recommend for use on 90W or below processors, but say it does a decent job of up to 125W if you keep it on 2000rpm.  I'm using it on an Athlon II processor & find it much, much quieter than the stock fan that came with the chip & it runs very cool on variable fan speed.  At top speed, 2000rpm, it's still much quieter than my stock fan did.  Would be hard to beat given the low price unless you have a very high W chip or run hot all the time.

I have Athlon x4 760 runs on 100w end i like to now if this cooler will run quiet then the stock cooler cuz the stock cooler on full load go to 100 c and that's hot and i don't O'C cuz its not for gaming just regular use so if some one will let me know with this cooler what's the highest temp can go please?

This an average fan/heatsink that is very quiet even under load. It has a 4 pin connector to your motherboard so the RPM's can be regulated and monitored more easily. It's much wider than a stock fan so there may be issues with memory slots being blocked on the motherboard. The air movement is towards the motherboard so the chipsets benefit also from the fan moving air across the chips. I would use this as you said for "average use" and not gaming. For an Athlon X4 I would recommend a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 for a little more money and lots more cooling power. Check these coolers carefully for size as they are quite large and may interfere with surrounding components. I personally like these through air movement designs that move hot air out of the case and not blow it back onto the motherboard.
