Can i fit 3 28 inch monitors on this desk?

With a 3 monitor mount stand, Yes. Individually side by side, no. 28 inches diagonally are probably (depending on bevel size) 26 inches or so wide. If you want to fit all 3 on this desk, you need a 3 monitor mount stand. Make sure the reviews show that the base is solid and prevents it from tipping forward (when bringing IN the side monitors, cheap stands fall forward). You would not be able to put 3 of those side by side (26*3 = 78 inches, desk is 63 inches wide).

The cover is a huge mousepad. When that wears out, can I purchase a new one?

I would recommend keeping the original mouse-pad and buying a more cost effective mouse-pad to place on top instead of an OEM pad.

How do I choose which color top I want to receive?

Step 1 - ask your significant other. Step 2 - match it to the color of your room. Step 3 - if you cannot decide, order the Solid Black, black goes with everything. Step 4 - if it doesn't matter, get the Black with the Red styling.
