What is the purpose of the two gigabit ports? For failover/redundancy, or multiple switchports with unique public addresses?

The second port will support a second separate internet connection. I'm currently using the modem with Comcast. Since I have only one internet account with Comcast, I can only use one of the ports.

Check if this is on your ISP's list of approved equipment.  Don't let them con you into renting theirs.

I'm currently on Comcast with a 75 Mbps down connection and have a 6141 with 8 channels down and 4 channels up.   I have trouble with rubber banding with gaming when the wife is streaming Netflix at the same time. Could the 32 channels down and 8 channels up resolve my issues?

Hard to say, no way for me to know if it's your router or modem that's bottlenecking you.  The 8200 will give you significantly more bandwidth available in the downstream, and may play better with your local cable network, as most Comcast networks use 16-32 downstream channels.  It will also give you the ability to take advantage of DOCSIS 3.1 protocol that will be launched in the near future.  It's worth the investment, imo.
