Does it have a ubuntu driver and work in a z390/pci 3.0 pc board? I have a gpu that runs nvidia. Im hoping to use this card to encode my streams so 1070 can handle the game.

Searching online, tomshardware has an article from a few days ago stating intel has released ARC drivers for Ubuntu... Here's a quote from the article.

"But, for now, the new driver package is designed solely for Ubuntu version 22.04 LTS and will not work on any other version."

Also OBS has AV1 support (kind of), but you won't find the option to enable it under streaming. You have to go to the Recording tab under Output in settings where you can select AV1 stuff, as they only implemented being able to record with it. However I cant be sure if obs will utilize the AOM Encoder with the card because I'm still waiting on mine to ship. Looking forward to playing around with it.  I know the SVT-AV1 Encoder uses the CPU.

Will this support plex running in unraid server to decode and serve av1 files?

Probably, especially with Intel's excellent AV1 encoder. However, be aware that Alchemist might have a memory scheduling issue in the silicon itself, so if you are buying, be aware that that might be a factor.

can it fit in a m-atx motherboard?

Based on the pictures and specs it should fit in any motherboard with a PCIe x16 slot. The issue with mATX or ITX systems is more likely to be the case.

I will still work without resizeable bar, just not at the optimal speed. The  absence of resizeable bar does not prevent it from doing AV1 decoding.

It's not a low profile card, so it wouldn't fit into anything low profile, so it doesn't come with a low profile bracket.

Question 7

If this card only draws 75w, what is the power connector for?

Just because the card is rated at 75w doesn't mean that it can't draw more. An AIB could add a power connector in order to allow headroom for overclocking or because they have overclocked it themselves, hence creating a need for more power to the card. This is true of every gpu.
