Does this include the case, power supply and MB? Just want to be sure I don't forget anything.

Yes to all three--the "power supply" is really just a 150 watt AC power brick. All you need is the CPU, RAM, storage (if you're going M.2 I think it has to be NVME). The only thing that isn't included--at least in the package I bought here--is the VESA mount.

This thing is amazing, btw. Just say yes.

The Asrock A300 requires an AMD APU with integrated graphics.   This eliminates the need for a separate graphics card.  So the AMD Ryzen 3 1200 is not supported.    There are about 25 APUS supported; the common ones are the 2200g, 2400g,   If you use the 3200g or 3400g you may need to upgrade the BIOS.   Upgrading the BIOS may significantly increase the difficulty of the build, so choose wisely ...

There are multiple versions of the DeskMini A300 available, depending on the optional components that are bundled. The product page mentions the DeskMini A300 and the A300W, with the latter's accessory pack including an Intel AC-3168 Wi-Fi kit.

is the power adaptor only for 110V or good for both 110V and 220V?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  Good for 100-240V.
The external brick says: 100-240V ~1.8A (Input) and 19V 6.32A (Output).
The brick accepts the C5 connector (not the C13), search wikipedia for: IEC-60320.

The output is about 120W, so I am assuming you could use a 65Wproc with SATA ssd and USB equipment, or even a 95W CPU with M.2 port and USB stuff.  Overall a great little box.

Consider getting the extra Deskmini USB cable.  There are only 3 onboard USB ports and I used 2 just for the keyboard+mouse.  Just a FYI, I bundled to save shipping.

type c can connect to external gpu?

No you cant. In order to run external gpus through type-c, it needs a thunderbolt controller behind the port and supported bios. What you can do is using one of the m.2 slots to drive egpu but you need appropriate accessories.

Does this support any of the several Wraith coolers like the Stealth?

This think is the definition of Small Form Factor, the Wraith coolers a bit tall, you may get it to fit with removing the shroud.  But it does come with a low profile fan so you don't have to buy one.  I have been running this one for a while and even do some light gaming on it without any issues.

The ASRock DESKMINI A300W and with any appropriate AMD AM4 CPU, supports Windows10, any version with no issues.  Win10 does not come included, you have to install Win10 and have a valid license.  -Vic

Now that the 3rd Gen Ryzen chips are available, can we confirm whether or not the A300 is compatible with a Ryzen 5 3600?

There was a recent BIOS update that mentioned this. It said that BIOS version 3.5, released on 2019/5/21 brings "1.Supports AMD next generation Ryzen™ processors and 
2.Update AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.1"

I haven't tested it yet with 3rd gen Ryzen, but the update log appears to show that they have added support for 3rd gen Ryzen. It might work with the 3600, but you will probably need to a do a BIOS update with a current gen CPU before you can install the new CPU. Also, the Ryzen 5 3600 does not have an iGPU and this case has no room for a dedicated card. I think the 3400G is the most powerful CPU you can use with this.

Is there any way to update the BIOS without a cpu? I'm getting a 3400g when they come out and I'm not sure what BIOS my new Deskmini has. So I need to know what I can do before I get the new APU.

Is it possible to expand the audio capabilities, i.e. external logitech speakers?

Yes.

This device has a 3.5mm jack as well as USB ports. So you can connect to it any device that uses either of those two for data (as opposed to some that only charge via USB)

Nearly all headphones. earbuds, desktop speaker and soundbars is compatible with this.
