Question 1

So I am planning on building a file server for my house. This is an interesting question I ran into that I thought I would ask, This motherboard is just what I need. Cheap, good name brand, and solid reviews. Best thing about it is that is comes with 8 sata ports (I plan on throwing 8 x 4 tb hard drives, and using 4 for storage and 4 to back up.) My question is, the motherboard says it is a fm2 socket with 100w. I would like to run a A4-7300, which is only 65w. This should be fine right. That 100w rating would be the max right? or am I going to fry the cpu?? never ran into this problem before in any other build. lol.

It will work fine.  I use it with an A8-7600 which is also 65w but a newer generation CPU.  You are correct that 100w is the max that the board supports, just like a power supply on a computer might be 550w but it is unlikely to ever actually draw 550w from the wall.

Newegg actually auto-emailed me to ask if I could answer your question because I purchased this motherboard in April.  The 8 SATA ports and low price make a great home file server.

I also recommend the Rosewill RHSP-13001 load meter.  (Newegg will censor my post if I include the link or price, so just search.)  It's interesting to see how much wattage your devices use in different situations.  For example, your 65w CPU will probably use about 35 in a file server, and how much electricity do you save when your 8 hard drives spin down?

Question 2

Is the video card built into this specific mother board and is this specific mother board good for gaming?

The video processor is actually built into the CPU (technically called an APU in this instance), so you'd need to check benchmarks for FM1 chips and see what you get.

You need to search for benchmarks.  Anandtech has good ones, but you'll have a harder time finding comparisons for an A-series in terms of graphics, because they aren't exactly aimed at that market.  You can also get a rough idea by searching for Logical Increments (sorry, no links on Newegg).  You'll see that this platform, while inexpensive, is on the low end of performance.

The truth is it can probably play games alright.  I'm still running fairly recent games on an 8-year-old platform without maxing out the CPU, but I've upgraded the graphics card.  You will likely need to use fairly minimal settings in games using an AMD A-series APU, but it makes for a very cheap setup.

Question 3

So the case im getting has a front panel usb 3.0  with an internal 20 pin conector to the MB will this work with my case?

I can speak to the USB header question. This motherboard has internal header connections for 1 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 connections. The 20 pin connector you speak of would be best answered by the case manufacturer's documentation. This Motherboard uses the standard 24 / 4 ATX power supply configuration.

Yes it will, and with the A series APU you'll be able to take advantage of the on board GPU. It's a good motherboard if you want to start on the cheaper side then upgrade as you want later on.

TLDR: Nope, this is set up for an AMD processor.

Socket FM2 is a CPU socket used by AMD's desktop Trinity and Richland APUs to connect to the motherboard as well as Athlon X2 and Athlon X4 processors based on them. FM2 was launched on September 27, 2012. Motherboards which feature the new FM2 CPU socket also utilize AMD's new A85X chipset.

Question 6

Heyo! Anyone know if this board out of the box will support either an A10-7850k or 7870k right out of the box? (I. E. Is the bios already setup to work with either of these?)

The 7850 is supported, the 7870 needs BIOS upgrade P1.60 or higher!  I actually did a lot of work for you on this.  :)

If you google for the two different part numbers you will find web sites that specify AD785KXBJABOX and AD785KXBI44JA are the same CPU, but the BOX set comes with heatsink and fan.

Question 7

Do I need to purchase a wireless internet adapter for this?

If you want wireless then yes, you will need to purchase one. I haven't looked at it closely lately, but I am confident it doesn't have wireless built-in. I use a wired network connection for my build using this board, but another build I made used a PCIe wireless card. I am pretty sure you would need to do something similar as I don't recall it having another wireless slot. Or you can use a USB adapter.

Question 8

I'm using a AMD A10-5800K one this, will a graphics card work on it? If so, what are your suggestions? ($Range 0-150)

You can definitely use a graphics card with an AMD APU like what you have.  I don't have a specific suggestion for a card because I don't know what your needs are.  I would guess a gtx 950 would be the closest thing to your price range.

Question 9

I have an AMD Athlon X4 860K. With that cpu and this motherboard, will it work without a GPU? As far as I can tell this mobo does have integrated graphics but a review says it does not. Thanks!

The built in graphics on the motherboard requires a APU, not a CPU.  The Athlon X4 860K is a CPU, so you will not be able to use the graphics on the board and will need to add in a full graphics card.

Go look at the AMD A8-7600.  That is an APU.  Look at the specs and you will see that the APU includes a "Radeon R7" graphics unit on the chip.  Your Athlon X4 doesn't have any graphics unit on the chip.

Is the video cad built into this specific mother board?

The video card is built into the APU that you install onto this board. Be careful! If you buy an A4, A6, A8 or A10 series APU, you will get at least some form of video out of this board (A4 and A6 are generally weak and suitable only for light gaming and movies, though they can handle multiple screens well also; The A8 and A10 series pack the real punch in terms of GPU performance). If you buy an Athlon branded chip (like the Athlon X2 370K or the Athlon X4 860K), those chips do NOT come with onboard video.
