Does this arc a380 still have fan rev up and down repeatedly?

I've never noticed it if it did but I wasn't looking for it either. I use two in the same machine for video encoding so they see sustained usage and the machine is right next to my desk. That machine is a linux machine though so if Windows has driver issues with fan up/down I'll never see it.

It might work if you're only using the video decode/encode but the max power of this GPU is around 75w and if it's being used, you will need active airflow over the fins most likely. Not sure if you can remove the shroud and fans without the heatsink. But I don't see why you would consider the majority of the width is the heatsink itself so you're get almost no benefit in any configuration.
