Being that it is a really small board, it will fit in just about any case you can think of or buy. I actually put mine into an emachines small form factor case and it fit like a glove with tons of room to spare. As far as a power supply, just about any one will do. Just remember that everything is built on the board and does not require a lot of power to work. The emachines case had its own power supply that was factory running around 200-300 watts and ran the board and everything I threw at it. The one I built was for very light was use and nothing else. Question 2

One of my PC’s is only used for my Spotify music in my garage. The mother board of 5 years finally died. Will this mother board be sufficient for online music?

It will.  With a clean install of Windows 7 it should do just fine for music streaming.  I used one to run Blue Iris and had 4 cameras streaming to it with a SSD.  With a mechanical drive it will steam music but don't expect much else.

Would this be powerful enough to use as a router?

I would say most definitely. Routers don't need a lot of power to do what they do. It's also a bonus that it does not rely on fans to cool it so it can be set to the side with no worries of over heating. I used mine for a home theatre pc and it was super quiet and fit in an acer small form factor computer which took up no room at all. Hope this helps you out.

Well, the motherboard was purchased with an INWIN BP655 case (P/N 11-108-196) that has a 200W power supply from Newegg.  It was set up with an old 3.5" 80GB SATA/no DVD/WIN7.1 and is used for an inventory control computer at the off-campus research lab.  There have been no problems with any power issues on the system and runs equivalent to an i3 system (~5.4 WIN index).  Let me know if you have any other questions.

Can't get XP to install. Anyone been successful?

This motherboard is not designed to run Win XP. If you go to the ASRock web site site for this motherboard there are no Win XP drivers.

I'm looking to make a tiny computer, closer to an iPhone 6+ or 6s size, so I was wondering if I did a small Samsung 250 gb SSD, 8 gigs of ram, and anything else, how big do you think it'd be?

Also, does it have a built-in graphics card, or do I need an external one?

You are forgetting about the other components on the board...For example; the battery; the chips for firmware that houses the registry kernel... connectors for the USB ports; parallel port and VGA port... Finding components in micro size, if exists, may become extremely expensive and thus, not cost effective... I have not seen Ram memory in micro size... That alone will be a challenge to minimize... its possible, but will require customize design... Don't forget, Apple already has such a device with their watch product...

With the heat sink shown/provided, will this product fit in a 1U (1.75") chassis?

I measured the height of the board installed with memory installed and it is a bit less than 1.75 inches.  The memory i used is higher than the cpu heat sink.  I would be careful about the memory  and sata cables used. the connectors on the board stand straight up and on mine the usb3 cable is not flexible enough get under 1.75 inches.

Question 8

Can I install XP on these boards? I have 5 gigabyte boards that will not take XP (non ACPI compliant, none of my PE based preinstall boot disks work either) Do not want to make the same mistake.

I installed Win 7 on my board; works really well for me, I bought an "Elitegroup" m/b with integrated CPU, the KBN-1 because it supports 
ddr3 1600 memory but am currently having trouble with the board; can't seem to read the DVD drive.

Should have bought another ASRock Q1900 board instead. Sorry, haven't tried XP; would think it should work fine on that board, user friendly.

ASROCK website (Newegg will not allow direct links) says yes.  I could not get the board to work with CENTOS Linux, so I returned mine and cannot speak from firsthand experience.
