Question 1

Am planning a build that will run primarily Linux , probably openSuse. Are there any aspects of the uefi bios that are a problem?

I ran this board with an I5 4670K running Ubuntu for 2 months with no issues I did run into a few problems finding correct drivers for the onchip video card tho

Does anyone know if  mSata port is Sata 3 or 2? would like to install an SSD but need to be sure.

I cannot verify because I haven't used the mSata port yet, but the board has 6 SATA-3 ports.  The mSata port shares with port #4 (and the eSata port shares with port #1); so it stands to reason that the mSata port would operate as SATA-3.  Hope this helps.

Question 3

I'm using this with 4x8gb G Skill ripjaws z memory, and the A1 and A2 slot will not recognize the memory, has anyone else experienced this? Is it just a bad board?

I didn't check if you have the correct slots for the memory, but if you do and the problem is there, whether you have memory on or off the QVL list, if you have a memory problem with compatibility,   you send Asrock a support email, if they can they will send you a modded BIOS or they will tell you to get memory off the QVL.

Question 4

Is there a WiFi kit available for this board? Maybe Asrock sells a version with WiFi included, like they do with the full sized OC Formula?

As of yet there isn't that I've seen on ASRock's page. They have an OC Formula-AC version for ATX systems, but the extra "AC" adds quite a bit to the price. You're better off getting this board and then picking up your own WiFi card now during Cyber Monday, or during the holidays, at a discount. This is a great motherboard though.

Are there any problems installing liquid cooling on this board? It looks like some of the capacitors may block the larger Corsair cold plates.

I had an H100i hooked up to this and didn't have an issue. mATX boards tend to be a bit tighter, but I didn't have any issues.

Does Newegg carry the C2 version of this motherboard yet?

The MFG website does not even show a C2. Usually MOBO are updated as a REV, as a revision, REV 1, not a C. If you have specific questions like this, Asrock has support for these kinds of questions.

What happens to the board when the battery on it dies?

What Caleb said.  The clock won't keep time.  Some systems will also lose their BIOS configs and will revert back to factory defaults.  I can't say about this board because it's the first UEFI board I've owned and the battery is nice and fresh.

Neither behavior is a big deal, just a pain in the butt.  Pop down to the store and get a new CR2032 and you're back in business.

Is it good with 2 graphic cards?

Hello, this board is capable of SLI, though there is only one slot between the two PCI-E 16x slots, there is little room between the two. If you have a reference or any 2 slot cooler, it will be great!
