Are you able to switch out the hard drive?

Have not tried.  But I would recommend against this machine.  Windows 8 make it complete junk -- it is slow like molasses and takes hours to update.

does this computer have a usb port? and will a magic jack work on it?

Yes, this computer has three USB ports (I believe the third is USB 3.0, I do have a clue what the specifications are for 'magic jack' so cannot answer that allthough  if it connects via a USB port I would think this machine would be adequate.
The machine runs a little warm compared to some of the other laptops I have had in the past. and the fan on it pretty much runs all the time.  It comes with Windows 8 (would have preferred 7) and is a viable portable.
I replaced an ASUS EEE machine with this one and the biggest doubt I had was that this machine uses a 5400 hard drive instead of a solid state drive.  Despite having dropped it a couple of times, it continues to function though.

Does it have a DVD drive?

Nope, no CD or DVD drive at all.  It's a netbook, not a laptop.

No, not a touch screen.  Quite frankly, I'm not a fan of Windows 8. If i wanted a tablet I would have purchased one.   Who wants a screen with fingerprints all over it!

Is the RAM upgradable?

If you are planning on upgrading the ram, than you really don't want to buy this netbook. There is no service panel on the back, so I don't know if the ram is integrated or not, but it is not really worth tearing the thing apart to upgrade the ram even if it is possible (I've done it before for other netbooks ... not usually worth doing). BTW, a lot of netbooks have the ram integrated into the motherboard, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if such were true of this one also (especially because there is no access panel).

How big is the laptop and its screen?

The specs aren't lying.  It's about 10" or so.  It's a notebook, so it's going to be about 2/3 the size of a laptop.  I only use the HDMI out to a TV, so the size was never going to be an issue.  Haven't held it since I closed it's lid and propped it up behind the TV.

It functions great for a NETFLIX computer and surfs the net and plays HD movies perfectly.

I give it 8/10

Would give it a 9 or 9.5, but it came with Window 8 and that OS should have been left on smartphones.  It's just crap for a pc, but that's just my opinion.

Go ahead, but I tried lol and only had about 15fps on lowest settings.
