What is the batter life on this computer?

Depends on what you are doing , light web browsing could get you max like 3 hours...pushing it. But I wouldn't recommend this laptop

I was wondering which version of the 8670m graphics were in this? Is it the GDDR3 or GDDR5 version. Also is it 2gb?

I cannot find the info on if it is GDDR3 or 5. I'm assuming 3. But yes, it is 2GB

How is the gaming capabilities? and what other reviews does this have?

I wanted to keep Windows 8 on the machine and to play many of my favorite games from Steam on it, but I had a problem updating, upgrading to 8.1 and having the ability to dual boot GNU/Linux with Windows so I ended up installing Ubuntu (GNU/Linux) across the hard drive.

That said, Steam is now pretty solid on GNU/Linux so I installed it. I noticed a few of my favorite games were available so I installed them. The two games I really wanted to play were Wargame: Red Dragon and  Football Manager 2014.

I initially went with the proprietary video drivers from AMD thinking they might be a lot better on Linux these days. Wargame played alright with a few graphical glitches. FM14 would crash constantly.

I decided I had nothing to lose and installed the more familiar open source video drivers. Wargame played perfectly. The graphics weren't on par with a beast of a desktop machine I've built, but I wouldn't ask for more on a laptop running Linux playing at 1080p. Football Manager played well, but there simplistic 3D matches struggle on any setting. I believe this is due to a few things on the Linux and game developer end and I have no doubt the game would play perfectly on Windows.

I've played a few other strategy games along with the two above and they all run smoothly. This is with Linux so I can pretty much guarantee that you will be satisfied with the gaming performance of this machine for the price.
