No its not a touchscreen, but the (Smart Touch) touch pad feels just the same without everyone putting their hands all over the screen, especially since it not detachable.

Yes. It is cheap but powerful at its price point. The bang for your buck factor is there. Very lightweight (important when you have to carry it every day), fast and powerful and can handle most programs with ease. Though it may struggle slightly with some intensive apps like Photoshop, it can game pretty well and the screen is beautiful. I highly recommend this computer for college use.

THE ram is soldered onto the motherboard and is not upgradable. It has 4gb and that's the max. I replaced the hard drive with a 240gb ssd and am loving this laptop. No slowdowns at all.
