Recovery disks report that they are not for this laptop but I made them from this laptop. Hard drive failure. Installed new HD and got the above message.

Any ideas on what to do to restore windows?

Make sure your BIOS settings are set to the proper RAID or AHCI?

Can I add more RAM or is it inaccessible?  What is the maximum memory capacity?

I just added an 8Gb stick to mine, for a total of 12GB. I've read it can handle total of 16GB, but haven't tried it. Remove battery first-to be safe, then remove 2 screws on memory cover(needs a #1 phillips screwdriver). There are 2 memory slots. Have fun!
