Does this come with Microsoft Word?

Unfortunately, no Microsoft Office preloaded on this. Microsoft doesn't really do that anymore. It's pretty rare to find any computer with Microsoft Office preloaded these days. They prefer to push people towards their new online software structure, called "Office 365". It's a cloud-based subscription model.

is there a dvd/cd drive?

No there is no DVD/CD drive, this laptop is very light and thin. Today, the only reason for a DVD/CD drive are for DVD's, so if you are a very active DVD person, you can get a 30 dollar external DVD Drive. That is what I did. If you stream all your videos then you really dont need it. Hope that helps.

How bad is the camera? A review states it's pretty bad, but I don't know whether it's blurry, etc.....

The camera is definitely nothing to write home about. Most smartphone cameras are definitely better than this one. The picture is a little grainy, and it lags a couple milliseconds behind real time. All-in-all though, it will get the job done. Definitely not a high-definition camera by any means, but its still pretty decent for such an in-expensive laptop. Hope this helps!

Can ram be upgraded from 4 to 8 or higher on this computer?

Ram cannot be upgraded. The ram is permanently attached to the motherboard and there are no additional slots.

How long does it run on a battery?

I've used mine for about 2 days on and off before with no battery. So I assume with constant use with no charging about 2-4 hours. Sorry if my answer isn't super useful.
