What is the difference between an All In One and a standard pc? Will any monitor work this pc?

An all in one is just a computer without additional components like a monitor or a set of speakers. It's called an "All in One" in the sense that you don't have buy the PC components for the tower separately as they are all together.

Most all monitors will work with this tower. I would suggest a flat screen of course. I just purchased this PC about 5 months ago and I am very satisfied. No other PC includes these kind of specs for the price that I got it for from newegg.

An all-in-one has the Motherboard, processor and all components inside of the monitor which is great for space saving. A Desktop (like this item) requires an external screen. Desktops are often times more powerful and are more easily upgrade-able. When looking at desktops, most any monitor will work so long as it has the proper connection (VGA, DVI, or HDMI). This desktop has all three so most monitors will successfully connect to it.

Can you get this unit with window 7 64 bit?

I would say yes most computers are backward compadable..Just need to load that operating system.

Is this one of those "surprise" bags?  You order a PC and whatever comes to your door is what you get?  It could be a pentium 2nd Generation with Windows 7 with 2GB of Ram

.... or it might be a 3rd Generation I7 with 32GB of Ram and Windows 8.

Just send in your $ and see if you are the lucky one or not so lucky one...........

I bought one just before black Friday and got what they promised me. No complaints here.. The keyboard was pretty high quality as well

I can't help but notice that on ALL refurbs, Newegg is giving as little info as possible regarding specs. So, what's the mobo? SATA 3 for the HD? How many USB 2 and USB 3 ports?
