This card requires two 6+2 pin PCIe plugs on the PSU, correct? I'm planning for SLI in the future...

That is correct. 2 x 6+2 pin. I have a Corsair HX 1050 semi-modular, and I was able to arrange the cables to SLI two cards.

Are those stickers or LED's on the fans with the Asus logo? Just wondering if I should paint over those.

Stickers, but what's the point of painting over them if you can't see them. Unless your motherboard has different orientation.

This may be a stupid question but am I getting this blue color or am I getting the standard red shown in the bottom description?

This kit actually comes with two options that you apply before installation.  Asus packages this card with red and gold decals that you put on.  I actually left it 'blacked out', no decals.  If you scroll down the page with the Overview tab selected you'll find a section called Color Match Kit.  This shows what the card looks like with both the Gold and Red decals applied.  And the blue on the fans is actually just due to the light angle when the photo was taken.  The Asus logo is white with a holographic finish.  Hope this helps.  Truly a fantastic card, worth every penny!

Will a 860w 80 plus platinum psu be able to power two of these cards in SLI? If so, how much headroom will I have for extras?

I Think you should be fine if the PSU isn't to old, I'm Running a pair of these in SLI on a 900 watt Antec HCG-900 without issue since Feb 1 this year powering the following setup.

Even under load with max settings in The Elder Scolls Online or Skyrim with over 150 mods full of 4k textures they rarely breaks 45c

But all that said every rig is different, if your PSU is old or showing less then baseline voltages might be safer to spend $100 to replace it rather then risk BSD or hardware shorts that can damage more expensive parts.

I am working on my new future proof gaming rig and I am stuck on what power supply I need to get. I want to SLI 2 GTX 780 Ti's with enough headroom to overclock the CPU, RAM, and maybe even the GPU in the future. I've been doing a lot of research and 50% of people say that an 860W PSU is enough but another 50% says you need at least 1000W's. I am trying to get a 80 plus platinum PSU that is fully modular. My choices are either Seasonic 860W platinum or 1000W platinum. I would even get a Corsair AX Series PSU but I have heard that they get coil whine under load but I am not a Corsair PSU expert so I don't know. I just don't want to overkill on a 1000W PSU when an 860W would be enough? Detailed answers would be greatly appreciated.

I used the ASUS sight for good power requirement ideas. My old 650w would not handle this card in my rig. The ASUS sight recommended 1150w. I purchased and installed the Seasonic Platinum 1200w Power Supply. Performance improved without overclicking. 
My Rig: ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition with Intel i74960x, 64gb G.Skill RAM, 1 and soon 2  ASUS GTX 780 TI video cards, 4 HD, 2 SS HD, Neptune liquid cooler for CPU, Cool Master HAFF 632 case with 3 case fans. Another concern is if you also plan on Overclocking, you may need more.

What I can tell you is this board is PCIe x16 compatible, and as such "should" be. Since it is a new board, there is no way I would imagine it would not be. But just to CYA, I would call ASUS and ask.

Thinking about getting 2 for SLI...  Do you know if micro stutter is an issue with this card in current games?

Not that I've seen. Runs fluid in bf4, bf3, skyrim, sins of a solar empire. Havn't tried any other games than those. I would say its a non-issue for this card.

Can This Run On Core i5 4200 ?

I don't see why not. Honestly I don't know, but personally I don't think processor matter when it comes to the Graphics card. It's mainly the motherboard and power supply that just need to be good enough to run it. If you called PC Laptops up I bet they'd answer your question a bit more precisely, they're always willing to help. Sorry :)

From what i can see, the specs of this card and the Reference design, are almost identical. Anyone have any good reason to get this one over this one?

Yes specifications in terms of how many cuda cores & memory are identical. What isnt identical is the much higher end components that Asus has implemented in to the DirectCU II card. This includes much higher rated power delivery components, such as fully molded chokes which significantly eliminates the chances of coil whine something that is much more likely to occur on a reference design that does not have these. The card is also 100% digitally controlled allowing for much cleaner and more stable voltage in comparison to reference card. As for cooling the card has a significantly better cooling solution allowing it to dissipate much more heat with its dense fin array and two fans in comparison to a simple blower fan stock cooler. Overclocked this card never goes above 72c while stock cards can reach temperatures as high as 85c.

what will it take to power this card? when it comes to 12 volt rails i get confused

Depending on if you have a decent power supplyt 500w would power this card. I would upgrade your power supply just in case. This card is pretty power hungry, i went overkill and bought a 1000w power supply, just to future proof myself for dual SLI setup.
