Will this run 1080p video, and retro game emulators without any issues? (Emulation would go up to N64)

Hi Chris, I'm not sure 100% but I'm going to say don't count on it, Graphics are not this systems strong suit at all. I am having trouble with 1080p at moment. It's a great basic machine, but not for video.

Is this upgradeable to 4 gb ram? Can it handle 64bit?

No and no. For some reason ASUS decided to use 32 bit on this. You cannot install a 64-bit OS on it although the CPU is 64-bit. Sothe architecture defaults to i686.

Where does this ship from? Will it be upgradeable to 14.04?

Sorry for the delay.  Ships from california.  I successfully installed Ubuntu 14.04, however no other linux distros displayed properly (I tried 4 others).  I like the machine, it seemed slow at first but after switching desktop enviornment to LXDE she's plenty fast for me.  YouTube plays at 720p in fullscreen nicely, if that helps.

will it run windows 7 ?

Yes it will.. I bought it for a Linux "toy" and it SUCKS for Linux support. It has an INTEL video driver that is not Linux/Ubuntu supported. As far as windows 7, yep it works. If you buy this, the Ubuntu pre-load is the only OS that has no driver issues. Its got to be a propriety of some sort.

Buy the PC then Install Ubuntu 14.01 from the Internet.

What monitor can I buy for this computer?  What DVD/CD player can I buy for this computer?
