Meh. This hardware setup is kinda old. If you want to run a Vive reliably into the future build an 8th gen rig. You can't upgrade the gpu in this anyway.

The specifications say 8GB of memory, but the comparison chart lists "This Product" as having only 4GB.  How much memory does this really have?  Dad's current computer only has 4 GB of RAM, so I want to make sure he gets an upgrade on memory as well as an upgrade in graphics card.

The base model comes with 8GB DDR4 RAM.  There is no 4GB model, but you might have seen the RAM spec listed as 4GB X 2.

The power supply requirement for the graphics card is 400w. How would the 230w handle that?
