I do not know.  I purchased this card as an upgrade for my wifes Windows 7 work workstation.  Works great for that.

Nvidia's driver download site does have Windows 8 drivers.

Yes.  Motherboard has already been built PCI express 2.0 x 16 Ready video card on expansion slot.  
Windows 7 or Windows 8 and 64-bit operating system.  
Windows XP pro with 32-bit is NOT compatible.  It was no longer to use for Windows XP OS anymore way.

I would like to use this card to drive 2 monitors @ 1680x1050. Can this card support this config? Do I need to purchase a "Y" Single Link DVI cable for this set up since it only has 1 DVI output?

Yes, Use a HDMI to DVI adapter so you can use the HDMI output as your second output.

I have two 21 inch HP monitors connected and they work fantastic. Not sue how many more it would support since I have not tried using anymore than two.

I have a Dell 660s with Intel Pentium (Dual Core 3.0 Ghz), I need a card that is compatible and going to help run Minecraft better than I can run it now. The on board Intel HD graphics doesn't seem to do the trick. Will this card do the trick?

I don't think there is any question that this budget card will out-perform your motherboard graphics.  I don't know how it will do with games.  I would not choose it for games.  But it has no issues whatsoever for business applications in my workstation.  It drives two 1280x1024 monitors perfectly - effectively displaying 1280x2048 pixels.  It will also provide an HDMI television display at 1920x1080. I run it on an Asus P5BV-C/4L liquid-cooled motherboard with an Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz × 4.  The OS is Ubuntu 13.10 64-bit on a SSD with applications and storage on various SATA Hybrid drives.  The GT-610 also works flawlessly with Ubuntu 12.xx.  It works with both the Linux X.Org X server - Nouveau or the proprietary NVIDIA binary Xorg display drivers.  Either install automatically without problems. I can't tell the difference between them, really.  I suppose this card will work with Windows, too.

I checked my installation. My slot is a 2.0, so unfortunately I can't answer your question.

I can't give you an exact wattage value, but it's not very much. It doesn't even have a PCI-e power connector port like most high-end GPUs have. If you're worried your PSU doesn't have enough power--don't, it will be fine. This GPU gets all its power from the mobo, no direct power input from the PSU. So the power your PSU gives to the mobo will be adequate to run this vid card.

I'm replacing a PCI-E card the motherboard supports a PCI-X 16 DDR2 64 bit card. This is a 2.0 X 16 HDCP DDR3 card. Will it work?

This card should work.  I have never seen a video card not work due to the type and/or speed of memory that is on the card or in the PC.  As long as the card will physically fit in the PCI Express slot and the PC's power supply (PSU) meets the card's minimum specs then you should have no problems.

FYI, I am using this card with the low profile bracket installed in a Dell Optiplex 7010 desktop.  It should also work in Dell Optiplex 3010 desktops and similar Optiplex systems.  It is too long for older Dell Optiplex desktops such as the 380.  It's heat sink may also be too wide for some PC's with limited internal space.

Overall it is a good no-noise "corporate", not "gamer", video card.

This PCIe 2.0 X16 card WILL work in a PCIe X16 slot ? 
I have an ASUS P5WD2 motherboard that I want to use this card in.

Thanks for the help - not *_^ SO  - yes it will work in PCIe X16 motherboards.

BTW - great card for LINUX. Worked in 3 different versions (11.04, 12.04 LTS, 14.04 LTS) of Ubuntu without a hitch ! !
