I don't believe this card needed any extra power, and yes, VGA is blue.  If it does need extra power and your power supply does not have correct connector, it comes with adapters to make it work. I put this card in a customer computer so I don't have it here to look at and give a solid answer on power.

It fit inside my HP-9100m. It only uses a single slot PCI. So as long as you have a PCI Express slot to use this should work.

No. This is a video card for a PC. Typically laptop video cards are built into the motherboard and can't be upgraded, or need to be upgraded by the manufacturer.

Zach, based on the specs I found on HP site for the P2-1394 desktop, the Asus card will not go in the computer. This model HP computer does not have a PCI express card socket on the mother board. Unfortunately you will be limited to use the motherboard's embedded video graphics chip.

Yes, 3.0 is backward compatible wit 2.0. You just just won't get all the throughput as you would with 3.0 on each side. For this card in this price range though, you will never ever notice the difference.

I'm currently using a computer with
Processor: AMD A8-5500 APU with Radeon 3.20 GHz
RAM: 12.0 GB
System: 64 bit, x64 based processor.
Right now, I can't run any heavy mmorpgs like for example, TERA on high quality without having it lag so bad. I really have little knowledge on computers so I don't really know if my computer can handle this card and help me run my games in high quality. I also would like to start recording my gameplays, so is this the card for me?

This card will definitely be better than your onboard graphics. It is small and only takes up one slot on the outside of your computer. Inside it will take up the PCI Express slot and it will cover the slot next to it with its cooling fan. Installing it will be simple since it does not require an additional power cable. The one thing to realize when adding a video card to a big box computer is that the power supply your computer came with is probably not sufficient to run this card with. It might work for a while but the machine might be unstable and ultimately the power supply might fail. I have been building my own machines and gaming for many years. I also have a small business repairing computers and I sell 1 or 2 custom machines a year. I would strongly suggest getting a new power supply with this video card and at the least check the power supply requirements of this card and look at the label of your current power supply to see whether it provides enough power on the 12 volt rail.

It should since your computer has 2 PCI 2.0 express x 16 based on the specifications on the HP website. Also in regards to being a PCI express 3.0 it should work on a PCI 2.0 since they are backward compatible.

It will work but you definately need to change out your power supply.  Your specs show a 350 watt powersupply and you might be at the end of your operating limits on a 350w.  But the card should work fine looking at your specs.

After looking your computer up, I'm assuming you are currently using the video output connected to your motherboard, and don't have a graphics card installed currently. There's not many details on the Lenovo site, but since it has an I7 processor, I'm going to assume you have a free PCIe x16 available. If that is the case, then yes, it will work on your computer. I would, however, contact the manufacturer (Lenovo), and verify that it can be added, and that adding it won't void any warranties you have. They may be able to help you out with the proper way to set your bios for the addition of a video card, and the disabling of the one connected to the motherboard.

However, if you just want to go on the advice of someone else who bought this, it will fit. If you buy this, and don't know much about installing it, be sure to read the directions on how to install properly.

Yes, both of these cards will work with your motherboard. Technically, because your motherboard is not pcie 3.0 compatible, you cannot fully realize the full bandwidth offered by graphics cards using the pcie 3.0 spec. BUT these budget cards wont come close to even pushing the limits of your 2.0 slot.

The 650 and 640 use essentially the same gpu at different clock speeds. (650 being faster)

The 2gb 640 however, will have more memory available which is very useful in running games at high resolutions (1080p) and aids in rendering frames with greater textures. But, because it is slower, you may not see much difference.

Either way, neither of these cards are particularly powerful (both are outdated also) and you can get much more performance by spending just a bit more.

I highly recommend the GTX 750 2GB.
