this needs to specify if it is 32 bit or 64bit windows, people are saying different things. You can run a 64bit cpu in a a 32 bit operating system, the guy who said check that for an answer doesnt know what he is talking about.

64 bit.  It's a great machine!  If you're looking for a mid-range desktop with some room to grow, this is a good option.

Does the Windows 7 OS disk come with this unit?

I set this system up for a neighbor.  As I recall (and as the manual indicates) it doesn't come with OS recovery media, but it does come with the ability to create recovery media on USB.  It also had a recovery partition to restore the system to original HD image.  As I recall, I did build a recovery image on DVD.  And I KNOW that I forced my neighbor to buy a 2nd HD for a total recovery backup via Acronis.

Can this hold 8Gb or 16GB memory and does it have 4 SATA bays, and can I add a SATA card to add a couple more drives?

There are 2 memory slots.  Max 8GB each slot.  Total = 16GB
There are 3 hard drive bays.  1 Optical drive bay.
There are only 4 SATA ports
2 SATA 3GB ports
2 SATA 6GB ports
The optical drive is on one of the 3GB ports from the factory.
You probably could add a SATA card.  However it sounds like you should get a kit computer or build your own computer.  Because you might also want to upgrade the power supply.  If you build your own computer or use a good kit you will have many more bays and SATA ports as well as higher memory capacity (usually).  In the end you will have a much better machine.  Yes more expensive.  You would need to buy a Windows license (If you want Windows).

Very likely, yes. While it depends on the on-board video chip itself, most of them allow two separate outputs on the VGA and HDMI ports.

If you're asking about using two monitors yes. However the HDMI output on mine stopped working shortly after I got it. I had to get a separate video card to use two monitors after that happened.

I think someone I talked to blamed the HDMI failure on the I5 chip and offered no solution.

What RAM slots are filled / empty? 2x2 2GB or 4x1 4GB perhaps?

Don't know for sure. I got it for my dad who lives out of town. It is most likely to be 2x2 or 1x4.gb. I gig sticks are almost  non existent anymore . I have been told the computer works good. Asus makes good stuff. Good luck

can i get windows 7 pro?

I just ordered 2 of these computers (M11AD-US002Q) and they came with Windows 7 Pro.  That was per the specs when I ordered.  If you do order a non-pro version you will have to buy a copy of Windows 7 Pro and re-install.  Microsoft used to offer upgrades to Windows 7 Pro for about $85.  But it seems that MS took that off the market.  Likely to push Windows 8.
