Yes, the DVD is R/W and works with both + and- DVD's.  Just got this set up as a server on my small network, and seems to be a great machine.

Does this computer support Dual Display?

yes it does. & it runs quite nicely on stock GPU components.

however, you will need an HDMI -> VGA/DVI adapter (depending on monitor being used).

the I/O panel only allows for 1 VGA output & 1 HDMI output.

my setup with this computer is VGA -> VGA / DVI -> HDMI
you can get a high quality DVI to HDMI adapter from newegg for under $5

It appears this cannot be operated wirelessly, it must be hard-wired for internet access. Are we missing something?

That is quite correct.
To go wirelessly you will need to get some wireless WiFi adapter.

Does the Windows 7 Professional disk come with this in the event I want to reformat the drive?

And... is it OEM or is it the Retail version disk?

No disk but when you start up the computer it has you make a system backup.

For HD's or PCI slots? There's a total of 3 PCI/PCI-E Expansion slots and zero available for DVD/CD it appears (look at front of case). As for HD...might be zero might be 1, unsure.

yes.  it has PCI-express slots available that will accept a plethora of aftermarket video cards.

i use this machine for drafting and 3D design in the office so i paired it with an nVidia Quadro 2000.

however, this rig could easily be used for any high-end gaming applications (with the proper GPU).
