Is this pc good for gaming?

I purchased the PC for my nephew. I upgraded the RAM to 8 GB. My nephew plays World of Warcraft, Oblivion, Warframe, Archeage, Counterstrike, and League of Legends, as well as a few other STEAM games. He says it's a decent gaming computer and hasn't noticed any lag during World of Warcraft (WoW), which, if you've ever played WoW, you'd know is pretty amazing.

Can the power supply be upgraded for a better graphics card. I'm looking for an inexpensive PC that my kids can use for gaming, but want to be able to upgrade the graphics card later if need be.

Does this include a network card with a port for a cat-5 network cable?

It's built into the MB -- 100 not 1000, but works really well.  It also has built in WiFi chip.  Awesome machine!

Question 4

I have many dvd's that I'm sure are 32 bit. I do need to use Qiuckbooks. All are 32 bit. Will I be able to use most of these products? I realize I may have to find drivers for them for compatibility, but it seems everything is going 64 bit. If everything I am using now is obsolete, maybe I will go with a Mac Mini. Any help with this one question would be nice.

all 32 bit software that works with 32 bit Windows 7 or Vista will work with 64 bit.

Windows 10 compatible? Were you able to receive and use the Windows 10 free upgrade?

No, nightmare. Had to completely wipe drive and start new. Registry errors all over the place. IF, your starting with a new machine with nothing on it it might be a different story. Asus support was the worst and I will never buy an Asus machine again BTW. Jim

Is a Windows 7 CD/DVD included with the computer in case Operating system needs to be reinstalled?

There is no install cd included but it is installed on a hidden partition on the HDD. Making a backup boot disc should be one of the first things people do once they have installed all of the required windows updates.

You can download an ISO and use the product key on the side of the pc if you want to have a physical copy for yourself but it won't have all of the updates.

is there room (a bay) to add a dvd writer?

It has only one bay which is taken up by the dvd writer. There's no way I can see to DIY a space below the top slot since the eject button extends past the top slot into the space below. Another problem is if you want to add HD's. The power box leaves almost no room to install an extra HD so I had to remove the power so I could stuff my old drives in.

My question is about the RAM. It comes with 4megs of RAM. The specs on the motherboard show two RAM slots. I intend to upgrade this to 8megs. Does it come with one 4meg stick, allowing me to add a second strip or 2-2meg sticks, requiring me to upgrade both sticks?

I believe it's one RAM stick. You can buy another. I bought tww 8 gb RAM bars and inserted those. They work well. One note: This computer, not matter how high the RAM, just does not handle graphics work well if you are desiring high-end graphics. Basic stuff is okay. It works well if not overloaded with software. It's cool (not hot), starts quickly and shuts down smoothly. For higher end graphics I still use my 32 gb homemade model (from parts supplied by Newegg).
