Question 1

What is the minimum power requirement for this board?

I'm curious if this would work with a slim PC.

As long as it has A 24, and A 8 pin it'll work. That mostly depends on your CPU, GPU combination. I personally use A 80 plus gold 450 watt for my 4770k and gtx670. If you're graphics card requires a bigger power supply that would have no effect on the board. At a minimum tho, using nothing but the most efficient haswell (the 65watt one witch name escapes me) could be A 2-300 watt.

I should warn you that this board in a tiny case requires tiny, skilled fingers. Plan every move far in advance EVERYTHING is next to EVERYTHING.

Does this board support the i7 4790K?

Yes, they are both socket 1150. However, since the 3790 is a newer processor you may need to update the bios before it will work properly. The 3790 is only .1GHz faster than the 3770k and the 3790 is not unlocked so it's not easy to over clock. This board is made for over clocking so if you do dicide to get the 3790 don't get a z87 motherboard. Go with h87/97. If you do get a z87 Even a bad 3770k will easily hit 4.2GHz so the extra $20 or so is definitely worth it... I love this board it's so easy to over clock. Even if you never have you can use the ai suite and it will do everything for you.

All fans are standardized so that they will "work" on any motherboard.  That said, only the CPU fan header has real PWM capabilities; the other 3 case fan headers can only control speed via voltage regulation even though they are 4 pin fan headers.  Yes, it's very misleading of ASUS to do this and it is disappointing for me because it was one of the reasons why I bought this motherboard.

Yes it will. I needed to update the bios beforehand however (which  was super easy with a usb stick )

how does the wifi work on this board? was planning on using this board for a mini server and using the wireless ac with another computer... is it removable?

I believe the wireless adapter is on board with an external antennae.  It has been a few months since i did a build with this board but I'm pretty sure it is not removable.  You could always just use this board for your server and buy a separate wifi adapter they are pretty cheap.  Anyway hope this helps.  Good luck!

How do I determine if the ASUS MAXIMUS VI IMPACT or any other ASUS ITX motherboard is 64 bit ?

Motherboards are not 32 or 64-bit, processors are, and every Intel and AMD processor produced in the last 4 years or more have all been 64-bit.

What size cpu cooler will fit on this board?  would a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo? or is it best to use a closed loop liquid cooler?

It depends on your case mostly but the position of the ram can be problematic with some coolers. I've seen this board with that cooler many times and it should work just fine. But since you're buying a high end MB I would get a closed loop liquid cooler, I have an Antec 920 and love it. Buy some quiet fans and it runs super silent under load. Anyway, hope you find this helpful.

Telling by the specifications of this products on the Newegg website the the PCI-e of this board is compatible 2.0 graphic cards.

But on the manufacture page the board is compatible with PCI-e 3.0.

Can someone confirm this?!?

It will work with a pci-e 2.0 video card. PCI-e 3.0 is backwards compatible. and I have personally tested it on this board. I purchased this board a few weeks ago and all my components came before the video card did. So I was using an old radeon 6750 video card (which is pci-e 2.0) and it worked great. Also, When my gtx 760 arrived I tested it in my older system and it also works. My older system has pci-e 2.0 and the gtx 760 is pci-e 3.0. Sorry for the wordy responce but pci-e 2.0 and pci-e 3.0 are backwards and forwards compatible. Aslo, video cards haven't been able to utilize the full bandwidth capabilities of pci-e 2.0 so the difference you would see putting a video card into one or the other is miniscule. Hope this helps.

Hi Ardi S. Anwer to your question... I don't think this board has WiDi, or at least I haven't seen it so far. But I could be wrong on this... so I will keep looking and if I find any new information I will let you know.

Question 10

How is the M.2 socket line up?  Does it face out the 'back' of the board (ie the socket faces the same direction as the I/O backplate) or in towards the board?  The pictures seem to indicate the first option.

It faces the interior of the board. There is no external access.
