It says it's vesa wall-mountable. Is that with an adapter? Can't tell from the photos.

The build in stand has a release. Push it, and it pops right off. And under where the factory stand connects, is 4 screw holes for a vesa mount. No extra parts needed. It even comes with screws, though every vesa mount I've seen comes with screws also

is this 4k. if not, is it have good enough resolution for photo editing?

It is not 4K, it is 2K. A 4K monitor would have 3840 x 2160 (~8.2 million) pixels. This is less than half that at 2560x1440 (~3.7 million) pixels. This monitor will be much clearer than a 1080p monitor which is 1920x1080 (~2 million) pixels. You can see why the price of a 4k monitor is so much higher than a 2k or 1080p. For a 27" monitor, I think 2k is perfect for someone who is more of a hobbyist and not a professional.

What is the size of this monitor?

The size of the monitor is 27 inches.

Can I mount this monitor on a wall?

Yes, the monitor is VESA wall-mountable.

What is the resolution of this monitor?

The resolution of the monitor is 2560 x 1440 (2K).

How fast is the response time of this monitor?

The response time of the ASUS ProArt Display 27" 1440P Monitor (PA278QV) is 5 ms (GTG).

Is this 16:9 or 16:10?

The aspect ratio of the ASUS ProArt Display 27" 1440P Monitor (PA278QV) is 16:9.

What does this take in the way of adapters to use on a new MacBook Pro?

The ASUS ProArt Display 27" 1440P Monitor (PA278QV) includes connectivity options such as Mini DisplayPort, DisplayPort, HDMI, dual-link DVI-D, and four USB 3.0 ports. For a new MacBook Pro, which typically has USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports, you would need appropriate adapters or cables, such as a USB-C to HDMI or USB-C to DisplayPort adapter, to connect this monitor to your MacBook Pro.

What exact cables come in the box? Specs are not clear.

One HDMI cable, one power cable, and one USB3 cable A to B for connecting the built-in hub.
