The build in stand has a release. Push it, and it pops right off. And under where the factory stand connects, is 4 screw holes for a vesa mount. No extra parts needed. It even comes with screws, though every vesa mount I've seen comes with screws also

It is not 4K, it is 2K. A 4K monitor would have 3840 x 2160 (~8.2 million) pixels. This is less than half that at 2560x1440 (~3.7 million) pixels. This monitor will be much clearer than a 1080p monitor which is 1920x1080 (~2 million) pixels.

You can see why the price of a 4k monitor is so much higher than a 2k or 1080p. For a 27" monitor, I think 2k is perfect for someone who is more of a hobbyist and not a professional.
