Does this card work with Windows 7 64-bit operating system?

Yes, I have mine in a Win 7 x64 HTPC. I did switch out one of the antenna for one about a foot long, I think 9 db, it works a lot better with the large antenna if you have a distance or walls to go through. I've had this for a couple years now with not a problem.

If you have a PCIE 1x slot to plug it into, this will work. The antenna are not very strong, I added a 9db antenna to mine, works much better.

Help! I lost the antennas that come with this card. what are my options?

Look for an 2.4GHz antenna with a male R SMA connection type. Could  get what looks like exact replacements or you could get something that has a 3-5ft cable attached to a base and an antenna that attaches to the base. This would allow you to bring the antenna(s) up and out of behind the tower resulting in a better signal and potentially more throughput.

dos this work on windows 10?

Yes.  The software that comes with the adapter is for up to windows 7 & 8. You have to obtain the Windows 10 software from ASUS support, relatively easy download and installation. I like the Windows 10 version because you do not have to fool around with any settings.  Windows 10 will set it up automatically for you.

Is this card compatible with desktop systems?  I have a ful PCI slot available for the wireless card.  Will this unit work?

This will work with any size PCI-E.  If all you have is PCI then it won't.  Double check the spec sheet for your motherboard to see for sure.

Question 7

Has anyone had long term issues with this?  After 8 months of owning this my connection started getting really slow.  I hooked up the cable to check and my internet connection was perfectly fine.  I have a FiOS router.  Checked in my control panel and it said the drivers were up to date on this device.  In addition, my roomate plays a lot of games on this and has extremely good pings while playing.  He has a wired connection so I think its this device.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

Couple years, the antenna are not strong then if your pc is back against the wall it's worse. I put 9db antenna on mine and it works decent.

What kind of service is required for this card to work??

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking but as for the driver, the best way to install that is to go into the service manager and pull it from the CD itself as the Asus utility was always buggy when I used it.  
If you're referring to internet options all you need is a basic surrendered network for this to hook up to go be able to go out to the network.

The only thing keeping any installed wireless adapter from working with any OS is: no driver, unstable driver, problem with configuration

I see that this comes with a low profile bracket. I do not have low profile brackets on my case, does it also include a regular size bracket?

It does. The full sized bracket is the one that's attached when you get it. It comes with the low profile just in case you need it.
