Question 1

The specs say it supports M.2 up to 512GB, but that seems a strange limitation. Is it capable of handling a 1TB M.2 drive?

I haven't been able to get one of these yet (still out of stock), but the Asus website suggests it is possible to use a 1TB M.2 drive. If you look at the PN50 page on the Asus website, scroll down to the graphics performance section where they display a side by side comparison. The interesting part is the footnote on the diagram, which reads "*Testing configuration: PN50|Windows 10 Pro-64bit|AMD Ryzen™ 7 4800U Processor|DDR4 3200MHz 16G*2|M.2 1TB SSD PCIE". This same configuration is listed on some of the other footnotes as well.

Either Asus is listing incorrect specs, or their test configuration breaks their own recommendation, or someone made a typo.

Question 2

when you buy this from newegg, does it come with any memory or hard drive?  Or is it just the case and the CPU?

Just the case and the CPU. You have to supply and install the memory, hard drive and the OS.

Question 3

Does SO-DIMM DDR4 3200 actually run at 3200 out of the box? Online reviews suggest only 2700 will run, but that's with no bios tweaks.

Looks like my pc is running a ~3200Mhz.  CPU-ID shows DRAM frequency of 1,596.8MHZ, and, I believe you multiply this by 2 to get a frequency of 3,193.6Mhz
