Does this motherboard need both a 4pin and a 8 pin connector to power on the pc?

There are many online posts about this. You do NOT need both the 8 and 4 pin CPU connectors unless you are overclocking the CPU. You should be able to boot and run with just an 8-pin CPU connector even if your CPU is unlocked, just as long as you are not overclocking it.
