Yes it does, I ordered one of the intel 600p NVMe m.2 ssds along with the laptop as the first and only upgrade to it. Works perfectly.

It will accept both SATA and PCI-e m.2 drives.  I'm running a Samsung 850 evo (SATA) with no issues.

If you are in the US any void if removed stickers are NOT legally binding.  You can swap the ram/ssd and still have a warranty as long as you are in the states and can prove you swapping the ram/ssd did not cause the problem.
