Question 1

I have read that some of these G752's cannot swop out the battery.  Is that the case with this laptop?  I need to make a good choice cause it's not like I have the extra cash to buy another one.

This is from notebookcheck.
A small hatch on the bottom of the unit can be easily removed with a Philips screwdriver to reveal the secondary HDD, M.2 SSDs, and 2x SODIMM slots.

Access to other core components like the CPU, GPU, WLAN card, battery, and the last two SODIMM slots has not been made user-friendly. There are at least 20 other screws to remove before the bottom cover can be removed. Even then, however, the panel is attached very tightly to the base where even a sharp edge won't do the trick. While unfortunate, this is almost expected as Asus ROG models are traditionally made difficult to access.

I keep mine plugged in when playing anyway.

Can I install the SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 512GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4  in the m.2 slot?

Hello, so far I am loving this PC. I have also looked into this and gave up. There is a lot of discussion on the asus forum about this very problem. There is a youtube post about this, They will not let me post link to site here.

I got this product in the mail today and noticed it had two drives in the "This PC" area. The OS drive with 118g total space (the ssd), and another drive labeled DVD_ROM that appears to be a 417gb HDD.
I am not seeing the 1TB HDD listed in the specs for this computer. Am I missing something here? Or is this a bug?

This could be an indication of a problem; I've had varied results with other laptops when I tried the solution I'm going to suggest.  You will need to go into the utilities and allocate the missing space or set it up as another drive.  The problem is that the HDD drive space that is there is showing up as a DVD.  If you don't see the DVD drive that is in the laptop, I would return it for a replacement.

Yes, you can replace the 1 TB Hard Drive with any other SATA 2.5 drive.

I'll answer my own question because I overnighted this unit and it just came in. It came with a 7200RPM 1TB drive, listed on the product as:

"HDD 1TB 72R + 128G PCIE G3X4 SSD"

Do these really only have 3gb of VRAM still? When all the competition has 6gb?

This is the GTX 970M (not to be confused with the desktop GTX970), and the mobile version is standard with 3GB of video memory. I did a quick check of the competition and they offer the same.

ASUS has a higher model with the GTX 980M available, which includes a higher amount of dedicated VRAM.
