WILL THIS support AMD FX-8320 FX-Series 8-Core?

It will not. I actually upgraded from a FX build and they use the am3+ socket, this one only supports certain am2 and am4 (ryzen) processors. If you want to upgrade you will need a ryzen processor. Check out the ryzen bundles available, as you will need to upgrade your motherboard, processor, and Ram at the same time.

Question 2

Does it have a front panel case USB connector? I have Corsair 600T that has 4 USB 2.0's on top, but to connect them it requires a USB connector on motherboard. So I want to know if this one has it.

There is one usb 2 head on the bottom of the board and one 3.0 header.  I couldn't use the usb 2.0 header because my AIO cosair cooler needed it.  So keep that in mind.  Additionally there is a a 3.1 header but I am not aware of any cases that currently support it.

Question 3

I know it is early and this board is not even out yet but can someone tell me if I buy RAM that is clocked at DDR4 3000 or DDR4 3200 will it clock down to 2666?   The board specs say it only supports that faster ram on OC'd

I plan on pairing this with an AMD RyZen 1700X which I already pre-ordered

I am looking for a MOBO for Ryzen 1800+ that supports 4 GPU(Nvidia) Video cards, does anyone know if this board will support that?

NVIDIA has basically said that multi-SLI is dead, they no longer officially support it. You can get NVIDIA "keys" to allow you to SLI 3 or 4 GPUs (not on this board, just in general). But you pay for the privilege, and NVIDIA has said the increase in performance beyond 2 cards is so trivial as to not be worth the effort (to be fair, they are correct, it has never been effective, especially beyond 3, and 3 really only worked best during the short period we used dedicated PhysX cards).

Short version: But a 1080ti, and if you're really running serious 4K, buy a second one, that's all you'll need for quite some time.

Question 5

It says that it supports A-series APUs, yet the I/O backplate has no video connectors?

It may support an A series APU, which is where where get into some word smithing. The APU is the Processor which is a CPU and and a a GPU in one. However the ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero AM4 AMD X370 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Motherboard we really designed for the high end all out game builder who is going to be running separate GPU's so based on my reading the board has no on board graphics support.  Someone can correct me if I am incorrect in my understanding of this, but give a call to ASUS motherboard technical support. Does this board have built-in wifi?

No it does not. It has an M.2 (E3) slot for a wireless card. It is totally useless there is an aesthetic plastic cover that prevents you from placing a card in the slot. There was one card that matched the board when I got it, there may be more now, and it was dog slow.  And, I was specifically told by their technical support department if I remove the cove that covers the slot I void my warrantee, and with this board you do not want to do that! I wanted to bring a class action law suit because of this and other statements they made about what this board could do, that have now been changed in the literature.

Will this work with the Nvidia gtx 1070 founder edition?

Yes, in either the top or middle PCIe Slot, provided your Power supply has the PCIe power connections required for that card.

Is this compatiable with G.Skill RGB Ram?

The short answer is - I don't know. All the AM4 Mobos have had issues with RAM. My understanding is that to get the highest RAM frequencies, you need to use 2 x 8GB sticks. I have 2 x 16 GB G-Skill sticks rated for 3200MHz myself, and the hightest I could get was 2667 MHz. That's probably because everything above 8GB is dual-rank RAM, which the AM4 platform is having issues with. So, your choice is 16GB of fast RAM, or more RAM at a tad slower speed.

All this said, I returned my Asus MOBO early on, and traded it for an MSI. I ended up paying more money, for probably no benefit, but I am too lazy to rebuild yet again.

In any case, it is strongly recommended that you flash the BIOS to the latest stable version, as all the vendors have been working hard at improving RAM compatibility.

Question 9

My Ausus AI suit and AMD RYZEN Master software show two significantly different CPU temperatures. Which one one is correct, how can I know? Also, is there a fix?

AMD has decided to offset the temperatures reported from the CPU by 20 degrees Celsius for Ryzen chips ending with an X. This is due to wanting to achieve parity with all the CPU models regarding fan speeds from out of the box. As an example lets say a Ryzen 1700 reports a CPU temperature of 35C within the bios, but a Ryzen 1700X reports a temperature of 55C. This is the offset at work. Just subract 20 from what is shown for the 1700X to get the actual temperature. The latest version of Ryzen Master is reporting the actual temperature without the offset. The current Asus bioses and software will report temperatures with the offset. This could change in the future.
