Pros: I was using Linksys Mesh and with 3 devices they were having issues with distance and staying connected. Hooked these up and I'm able to walk out my door and around my yard with phone sill connected to wireless. The features of this blows my last solution out of the water.

Overall Review: Adding another point is just purchase another router, it has to be Asus but all mesh devices are that way and I can pick a Asus router cheaper than the mesh and I can upgrade one while not replacing the rest.
Pros: Easy to setup. Definitely faster than my old router.
Overall Review: I set 1 up as my main router, then installed the other as a node in an area that was having issues connecting with my main router.

Pros: -Getting two devices in a single package is very nice. Either unit can be assigned the "master" or the hub roles as they are the exact same device. It's simply a matter of going into the wizard and making the changes. In the future, they can even be broken out to use as separate routers again. Future expandability is also present as long as the additional devices support ASUS's AiMesh tech. It doesn't have to be the same model should one of the units die in the future and this particular model is EOL.
-Fairly easy set-up. The setup wizard is very thorough and fairly straight forward, even for non-technical people.
-Works as advertised. Due to the odd layout of my house and the cheap router/AP provided by my ISP, we had several dead-spots downstairs. I've been running these for about a week now and the complaints about slow speeds and no connection have stopped.
-Plenty of configuration options to help meet your needs. While most people won't need a lot of the features such as file or print sharing from the onboard USB connection or inbound VPN connectivity, it's nice that they are there for those who might need them without a hefty premium attached to the price.
-Easy to use parental control and time management settings. For time-management, it's as simple as selecting a device, clicking a button and highlighting squares on a grid. I haven't used the parental/content controls as I have those configured per device and via the security software I use, but they looks similarly easy to use.
-The mobile app is a nice addition if you setup remote access. I had to adjust the time restrictions for one of kids' devices and I was able to do so from my phone while at work.
Cons: -Firmware update hit a bit of a snag, but was mostly user error. The documentation and update process do not mention if updating the router will automatically update the nodes or not (it appears that it does). Also, the process feels like it takes longer than you think it should. As someone who updates firmware on routers/switches/AP's/servers/storage on a daily basis, I started to get that sinking feeling IT people are familiar with when these start to take too long. When the main router came back up I had no connection to the remote station and I did a soft-reset and went through the steps to add it back a mesh node. When I went to update it's firmware, it showed that it was the current version. Some kind of mention of this would have been nice to have had.
-Personally, the mobile app doesn't have to be as fancy as it is. Some of the animations and transitions are there just for looks and serve no real purpose other than to look pretty and flashy. They're not confusing or distracting, just unneeded. I could have done without them. A "simple" version of the GUI wouldn't hurt.
