Pros: Easy Set up (practically Plug and Play)
very small (a little bit bigger than a DVD case, much like a 2Pack funko pop figure)
Has about a Medium Wifi Range (great for a single or 2 story 4-5 bedroom house)
Overall Review: Would recommend for a decent replacement or new router price was cheap but I have always have had great luck with ASUS routers that does not break the bank
Pros: Easy to set up and use as wifi access point for FIOS fiber router. Turned off the FIOS wifi and connected the RT-ACRH13 to an ethernet port. Followed the setup process for the RT and no problem. Plenty of features for a home user.
Cons: Updating the firmware was a challenge. Had to download it to a USB 2 drive from the ASUS website and then upload it to the RT like updating a BIOS on a motherboard. The 5G band begins to weaken at 20-25 feet even without any obstructions/walls. The 2G is much stronger and does better at going through walls in a ranch style house.
Overall Review: Going on 2 months since install and had no dropped connections that I can blame on this RT router. The small size makes it easy to find a suitable out of the way place for it at home
Pros: - I don't know what is going on with people that say you have to download software or the 5ghz isn't already turned on . No additional software needed and when you set a name and passkey on the 5ghz it works. Just plug it into your PC directly and browse to the webpage. Easy.
- Gigabit ports on WAN and LAN!
- Lots of reporting, graphs of usage etc... You can block keywords or disable wifi for specific devices for specific times of the day (nice if you have kids).
- Cheap compared to others with these features.
Cons: - The 5ghz does seem a little weak, but not a big deal. I don't have anything to compare it to. I switched to the 2.4 ghz. My PC is wired anyway.
- Not really a con but the firmware was 2 years old on it. I was easy to update though. New features with the update.
- I didn't really expect it, but not vlan capable.
Overall Review: I would recommend, used for about 1 week.
Pros: Fast for a budget
Looks really cool
Has a good feel to it
Settings are easy to navigate
ALL AROUND AMAZING PRODUCT
Overall Review: 100% recommend to anyone
Overall Review: Had some issue connecting to modem, Asus tech support was amazing.
Pros: - Works out of the box with minimal setup needed, but still has more than enough customization options for most users.
- Hard to find MU-MIMO in other competing entry-level models
- Good 2.4/5 GHz signal range
- Easy to check and update firmware
Cons: - None
Overall Review: - Bought this to replace my wireless-n router which came out 6 years prior to this model. The old router was still working fine but its 5 GHz range was poor. This new one provided much stronger signal, and it better handles being connected to several devices at the same time. Overall the router does everything I need it to and I have no complaints.
Pros: Fast LAN and WAN access, separate control over bands, easy setup, RADIUS integration / AES Enterprise security
Cons: Coverage is not as good when using separate networks on 2ghz and 5ghz; router wants to optimize these as a single network. Coverage improved when I used a unified 2.4/5 GHz network (same SSID on both bands).
Overall Review: Great for home use, though may not cover all homes. Great for those wanting to set up better security on their wireless network.
Pros: Much better user interface than my older router. Easy to install and to choose configuration options. I needed gigabit Ethernet and got it a great price. My WiFi needs are minimal and they are easily met with this unit.
Overall Review: No regrets: glad I bought it.
