Any router that has a WAN port, which is all of them, will be able to take an Ethernet connection.  Connect your Ethernet cable from the device (whether it be cable modem, DSL, Fiber as long as it has an Ethernet connection) to the WAN port and you're good to go.  Many times you may have to reboot the modem to get the connection working.

In the Specs on your website for Asus RT-AX56U, it says it has WPA3 security, but on Asus Website Specs is only says WPA2 highest security?

Yes. It has WPA3. I have the router and it has WPA3 as an option. It also has a WPA2/WPA3 setting so devices that don't yet support WPA3 can still connect.

As a unit they provide a strong signal throughout the area. There might be a very small speed cost as the units need to shuttle data back and fourth, but It should be negligible.
