Does this Router have the latest DD-WRT firmware installed?

It's incredibly easy to install open-sourced firmware on this model, no downgrade/upgrade shenanigans required. I find the Asus Merlin firmware, while not the newest version of the software, is much more satisfying than either DD-WRT /Gargoyle/Tomato. I actually have a few of them (well, a few N66Us and few N66Rs-same diff) with ethernet AP backhaul running a single SSID multi-mode mesh Wlan across my 5 acre property. Including seamless 5ghz inside the 6 different buildings and 2.4ghz in the surrounding forests and glades. The customizable roaming assist setting which disconnects clients with customizable -dB threshholds works just as well as the apparently unrequired AI-Mesh platform. This workhorse of a router made me an Asus networking convert. Stable. Reliable. Fast.
