Pros: Terrific deal for the price! Great speed because of the processor and RAM--no issues with that. I really love the design (keyboard and the rubber-ish skin). Battery life last me a good 3+ hours easily. I enjoyed the pre-installed softwares, pretty resourceful

Cons: The speakers are not too loud, but I usually used headphones (so no complains). the screen panels are slightly loose which makes a weird 'click' noise if the laptop is pressed.

Overall Review: I am a student and most of my needs are good battery life, not-so-heavy, specs for basic programming and speedy performance. I've been VERY satisfied with this laptop's performance so far. I haven't had any major issues with its performance. Over all, I think going for a refurb was a smart decision--saved money and got an excellent product.

Pros: Good price for the spec (now when price is the #1 pro, it's usually not that great). Arrived in a good condition, only thing i notice is a little chip mark near the webcam but it doesnt interfere with any performace. Good bettery life - spec doesnt indicate it but this is 8-cell, not 6-cell bettery (i found that info on other website that newegg won't let me use lol) so bettery does last longer.. realistically it lasts me about 4 hours (surfing, youtubes, word, etc)

Cons: Like other people have said, the partition of the HDD is very odd. I formatted the hard drive and installed windows 7 pro. now it gets rid of all the unwanted softwares but it might have been affected some of the buttons (i've looked up on google and seems like other people have these issues as well). for example fn buttons from f9 to f12 doesnt work anymore, sound control buttons). there are drivers you can download at asus.com to update them but when i tried that, it tells me that they did not find an audio device.. (-_- when im listening to music right now while i'm writing this) so it is bit annoying to control sounds by using windows volume control but it is still controllabe. Webcam - now i found this is a common problem as well. when i use skpye, it's upside down... and i guess there'a s driver update for that too but did not work that well for me.

Overall Review: for windows experience index i got Processor: 6.5 RAM: 5.9 Graphics: 4.3 Gaming Graphics: 4.9 HDD: 5.9 overall, this is a great deal. but don't be fooled by the 799.99 original price, this computer came out about a year ago so it's probably not worth that much right now. I would give it a 5 star if i didnt have the trouble of failing fn keys.

Pros: For the price and the specs it wasn't to bad at all. Can handle most games, some higher end ones like Crysis it can't even play even on the lowest settings. For an I3 first gen processor it's pretty solid.

Cons: Refurbished..... Battery is done for so I always have to keep it plugged in otherwise after 5 minutes of leaving the power adapter off it just shuts off and I run into issues. The thing is ALWAYS on fire. Even with my fan cooler stand it's still always hot, don't even let me tell you how hot it get's when playing a game.

Overall Review: Wouldn't recommend getting it refurbished. Brand new this laptop is definitely worth it.

Pros: For the price this has been an excellent laptop. no gripes here.

Cons: There is nothing I can find that i don't like about it

Pros: Has great screen, great processor, and a decent amount of ram!

Cons: The Video Card if you expect to play almost any game you can forget it this thing is horrible and completely destroys the luxury of this laptops experience; Also the screen bezel was popped open it was easy just to snap it back in but in my experience i would say this screen has been replaced.

Overall Review: Decent For Basic Needs of video watching and webbrowsing not at all for gaming

Pros: If the wireless worked, then this is a tremendous deal. Very good cost effective system. Asus technical agent has sent daily emails trying to get a handle on the problem. However, we have been unable to diagnose the problem. They suggested that this model does not include wireless. They have no record of the S/N. Hmmm, this may be a Newegg issue - advertised as including wireless.....?

Cons: Wireless not even recognized. No wireless facility in the bios. I hope that the problem can be fixed with a simple bios update. However, I must send the machine back to a service center to determine if the MB has wireless hardware. Newegg needs to check to make sure their inventory has wireless capability.

Overall Review: Upsetting to say the least. I spent a lot of time installing software and updating Microsoft OS and Office. I do not want to lose the harddrive if the system is found defective. Anyone else having similar problems?

Pros: All is ok, except the screen.

Cons: I never saw a notebook screen so awful in color and resolution, I am very dissapointed.

Pros: Cheap! Very good deal for its specs. Functions well and is relatively fast. Battery lasts long. It's also a good looking laptop.

Cons: The hard drive is partitioned, which can be annoying but tolerable. It has a lot of ASUS software that pops up at start-up, also annoying but easily fixed. The touch pad is single-button style that's harder to press than most laptop touch pad buttons.

Overall Review: Overall the price for what you get easily trumps the few cons. It's fantastic for simple office/school-work, web browsing, and occasional videos. Don't expect to play any real games on this laptop.
