ASUS VH232H Glossy Black 23" 5ms Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 w/Speakers & HDMI

Pros: Everything works, is decent for the price, no bad pixels, decent mount, panel fits in with the style of other models in the series. Looks nearly the same as their 3D ips panel in looks, not in picture quality, so if buying their 3D panel and wanting extra screens for whatever purpose, these will fit nicely on the side.

Cons: For just about $50-80 more, you get their passive 3D IPS panel which has a MUCH better mount with swivel, tilt, height, and much better clarity of color/picture at all angles.

Overall Review: With this currently at $190, i would just pick up their 3D IPS panel or go for a cheaper LCD all together.

Pros: For the price I don't think it can be beat. Everything was delivered in pristine shape. The packaging was nice (VGA & DVI included) however it would have been nice to include an HDMI as well. There are no dead pixels on the screen.

Cons: As said by others the base is a little wobbly and if you plan on moving you monitor a lot I could see it being a problem or with kids. However once I set mine up I haven't touched it once so it could be a non-problem for some.

Overall Review: I don't plan on using the built in speakers so I cannot comment on their sound quality but as some have pointed out in other reviews it is "OK" but most things that are bundled are just that, "OK".

Pros: No dead pixels (big sigh of relief at that) picture is Cristal clear day one so i cant speak for longevity yet. but after upgrading from a beat up 17inch this monitor is just amazing

Cons: just buy the monitor, its that good.

Overall Review: When you plug it into a hdmi port on your computer it will have a black border all around the screen, Google searching can be a pain on the topic so here it goes. for ati open up your CCC in advanced mode select desktops and displays. Right click on the monitor in the bottom part and click configure. Go to the Scaling Options tab. and move the slider to where you want it. apply and your done.

Pros: Large screen. Thin body. Descent picture quality. (And no stuck pixels.) Low price. 3 year warranty from ASUS with some nice RMA "padding" to ease the pain if you should ever have to send it in: free shipping to-and-from, quick handling and even cross shipping in some cases. I actually like the button placement--sleek, and out of the way. And I like how the back connectors run parallel to the monitor's body.

Cons: Backlight bleed along the top and bottom--nothing deal breaking but, it's there and noticeable at times. Stand is very short. Ridiculously short. Definitely consider a VESA mount for this. I found a great one for 17 bucks, they are out there. Presets truly suck. Big time. Too dark. Too much color. Too much contrast. Go through and calibrate it yourself to suit your own, personal, tastes. There are online monitor calibrating images you can use to help you do this (Google is your friend here) and it takes 15-20 minutes tops.

Overall Review: As has been stated before: This is a sub-$150 1080p monitor...this is NOT a $750 2560 x 1440 Catleap or anything like that. BUT: This is a good (pretty dang good) monitor at a low price. 23" 1080p for under $150..? Pff, buy it, what are you waiting for. Noticed it can run at 1080p, 32-bit color and 65 Hz while experimenting in the NVIDIA Control Panel. Not earth shaking but, the extra few frames will serve me nicely in games like Battlefield 3, Borderlands 2, Far Cry 3 and the Crysis series. * Truly wish newegg would allow the posting of at least 1 image (instead of a video) in our reviews. I'd love to post a screen cap showing this puppy running at 65 Hz and showing the numbers I used to calibrate it.* As usual: I'll be back with a follow up review for this item if necessary.

Pros: Very bright, vivid display. Colors don't seem to be quite as off as some might make it sound. I like the look of it. 3 different input methods.

Cons: Speakers (as mentioned a million times before) pretty much suck. I use them quite often, though, just because of my setup. They are a little better than laptop speakers. The reason I took off an egg was because the stand is not very adjustable.

Overall Review: I'm using this for my xbox (hdmi) and an extended display for my laptop (vga). The amount of screen real estate you get with 1080p is great! Oh, and by the way, THIS SCREEN HAS A 3.5mm OUTPUT JACK. Green on the back is input, black is output. Nobody seems to be aware of this fact, so I thought I'd note it here. Hope this helps!

Pros: The biggest pro -- the price. This thing is ridiculous for the price. Bought it to use as HDTV's in my bedrooms with DirecTV boxes. Plugged HDMI cable in and the internal speakers kicked on and all was right with the world. Speakers do ok for built-ins. I can watch TV and navigate the DirecTV guides from 10 feet away. Also --- wall mountable!

Cons: The buttons in the front can be a challenge. Since it doesn't have an IR Port, and I don't like getting out of my bed to turn off the TV at night, I just turn off the DirecTV box and let the monitor power save. But immediately after doing so, you have to shield your eyes. The bright blue screen of retina death lasts about 5 seconds.

Overall Review: Since this thing wasn't sold as an HDTV, the cons aren't deal breakers for me. I am very happy with these monitors overall.

Pros: Over all looks amazing.

Cons: Came with a dead pixel that I didn't notice until I had already removed the UPC and proof of purchase for a mail in rebate (even though I currently still have the UPC and everything, it is just in an envelope waiting to be sent to ASUS). Now if I want it fixed I have to go through ASUS instead of newegg. I'll repost and give it 5 eggs after I've dealt with that. Extremely disappointed with Newegg right now though.

Overall Review: Thank you. However, if the UPC code is removed from the item, it would void Newegg return policy. Please kindly note that all items that are returned to Newegg must be within the original 100% entirety, including the original retail package and any applicable accessories. The manufacturer would not accept an item that is without the original package or accessories, and it would be Newegg's total loss.
