ASUS VK246H Black 24" HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 1000:1 (ASCR 20000:1 ) Built-in Speakers w/ 1.3m Pixel Webcam

Pros: Wow...this monitor is bright. That is the first thing you will immediately notice. I put my old monitor side by side next to it and this simply twice as bright as my Sharp LCD. Right out of the box, no problems, I plugged everything in, and everything worked like it should. I plugged my xbox into the HDMI port, and it worked, as well..no problems. Crisp clear picture, for both the xbox, as well as my PC. 0 Dead pixels! Speakers are decent for those that choose not to output their sound to an external speaker (not great, but acceptable) biggest pro: pretty freakin' cheap for a 24" HDMI LCD, and the quality is out of this world!

Cons: Only drawback I can possibly think of is that there is no vertical adjustment...but seriously, if its too short, put it on a freggin box.

Overall Review: Great monitor, Great price, and it came within a day of me ordering!

Pros: First off the monitor is very big and very bright in a good way. I enjoyed the options of having a standard vga ,dvi and hdmi for outputs which make this monitor very flexible for newer and older pc's and video cards alike. The user menu is very easy to master without even looking at the manual. Plus this bad boy comes with plenty of cables dvi,hdmi and vga you can't beat that. And the camera is kinda nice too but be warned!!!!!!!!!!! Also price was very nice for all the features

Cons: Ok the cons are really short not to take away a egg but to warn people upfront about the short comings. 1. No adjustable stand but it is sturdy so not a big complaint 2. web cam software says it only works with asus laptops checked there site and it doesn't really help out so I will have to call seeing that I just got it today!!!!! 3. When I first hooked it up screen was a blurry mess but windows corrected the problem I got a lil worried there overall huge leap over my 19in wide screen viewsonice

Overall Review: My setup antec 900 with vista 64 ultimate, abit 680i in2 32 max board loaded with q9450 oced 2.75ghz, 4gb corsair 6400 xms dhx ram running at 1000mhz stable and two msi oc9600gt's in sli 2*160gb samsung spin points and 500gb mybook external The monitor plays great at native resolution I might drop it down a lil to see how my frame rates do while playing farcry2 and etqw haven't tried movie playback yet but I will and I'll also contact asus to see if there is some other software to make the web cam work

Pros: Very good specs for the cost, solid monitor, webcams okay. absolutely recommended, as long as it lasts.

Cons: warranty says that there must be 8 dead pixels for it to be returned...kinda lame

Overall Review: you won't be disappointed with this unbelievable monitor

Pros: So amazing, I also use this for my computer monitor and Xbox display. It is simply amazing, camera isn't bad for a webcam.

Cons: Speakers arn't that great but I wasn't expecting much.

Pros: No Dead Pixals, No Stuck Pixals, Good Clear Image, It Works, Crisp, Clean and no Caffeine!!!

Overall Review: 1. For the one who metioned that the webcam runs all the time, I here Black Electrical Tape works well, and maybe, just don't install the software. Or smile alot! "lol" 2. It Sure Would Be Nice That in the SPECS for monitors it would list the Horizonal and Vertical viewing area, not just diagonal. This VK246H Monitor is approximately (H 21.3/8" x V 12.1/8") viewing. 3. The VK264H LCD is first version HDMI, still 1080 visual but no future upgrading as it would have with HDMI 1.3 but what do you expect for a $300.00 monitor. ("With That Said") The monitor is still a very good, usable LCD Monitor and worth $300.00.

Pros: Very crisp display, full 1080p resolution, Variety of inputs, nice colors, fast response time. Has speakers and a webcam but I don't use either because I have much better speakers and a far superior webcam. I bought this monitor because it was on sale. The price at the time I got it was lower than anywhere else, even compared to the version without the webcam.

Cons: Not really a con, but I cannot use my CRT monitor anymore even though I still have it connected for dual display because this monitor is so clear and bright that my CRT is dim and fuzzy in comparison. My CRT gives me headaches to even look at.

Overall Review: If you are in between this monitor and a smaller one, go for this one. It's amazing how much faster you can get stuff done with a bigger screen. You have more room for toolbars in programs such as CAD or Photoshop. Being able to see more of what you're doing helps infinitely too. I will probably order another one of these eventually. Also, if you see anything that has dead pixels listed as a con, ignore it. There are something like 9 pixels in a single period on a screen. You'd have to have 9 adjacent pixels dead to even have a period sized spot on the screen. This monitor has one dead pixel and it's practically in the middle of the screen and I still have to look for it to know it's there. Dead pixels happen, it comes with the territory.

Pros: Fantastic monitor for the price. Very bright Easy to install Webcam WORKS in Vista 64bit. Don't believe that guy. Awesome brand. Bundled this with Asus EAH4870x2

Cons: Had to rebuild the monitor cubby to make room for this MONSTER!

Overall Review: Cannot beat this deal. Even at $300 this is the best 24" you can find. Great brand name and excellent service from Newegg.

Pros: Good picture quality, no dead pixels, 24 inches is a very nice size. I haven't used the camera or on board sound extensively, but the camera was decent from what I've seen so far.

Cons: After about a month of use the menu for the display would appear at random times, and cycle through the display options (changing color settings etc). Simultaneously all buttons except the power switch would stop working, so you were left with the menu box in the middle of the screen. After a call and email to Asus, I was given an RMA number and I was told that I would have to pay for shipping to California from the east coast ($24). After 3 weeks a replacement arrived (1 week for repair, 1 week for shipping each way). The monitor they gave me has several scuffs on the screen and the plastic frame, and although they aren't too noticeable when the monitor is on, it is a bit annoying.

Overall Review: When it works this screen is fairly nice, but with a rather short warranty, and poor customer service I would think twice about buying it again. 3 weeks for repair and paying for shipping on a manufacturing error isn't what I expected from a well respected company such as Asus
