How do I set up speakers to this monitor?

If you have it hooked to a PC just use the PC's audio output to setup speakers. If you're running it off say a DVD player, then I think there are audio outputs on the back for speakers, so long as audio has been routed to the monitor as input.

This monitor has an HDMI port, which is what most consoles use. Past that, input lag is fine and the colors are solid, being an IPS panel. Might be a bit on the small side for some console features though.

It has a matte screen.  It is an exceptional monitor for the price.  It's the best one that I have had.  Highly recommended.

Hello! I am planning on buying 3 monitors for the 3 monitor setup, and I am wondering, because ive heard the border is a bit thick, if you have two, does it still look ok? Thanks

Hi - I have three of these side-by-side, and they work well.

the bezel is thicker than some I have seen - maybe 15mm (5/8").  Having the monitors in a curve, I can minimize the effect by putting the edges of the outer ones behind the inner one.  I am mostly a desktop app user rather than a hardcore gamer, so given the good value (and great picture quality) it hasnt really been a problem for me.

Playing my occasional racer games on them, the bezel is pretty noticeable, though I set up eyefinity to account for the thicker Bezel and stop other cars looking like they are split in two.

The other caution would be if you ever intend to go vertical with them, the lower bezel is wide and all the control buttons are on the bottom edge, so you would need finger space between the Asus and the monitor below it.

I am wanting to connect two of these monitors to my laptop via a docking station. I have one VGA port, a display port, several USB ports in the dock. Can I make this work? With an adaptor? thanks.

You can convert display port to hdmi, however it requires an active adaptor. You may be better off finding a monitor that has DP natively. It will probably end up being cheaper in the end too as active adapters typically aren't cheap.

IPS (in-plane switching) is a screen technology for liquid crystal displays (LCDs). It was designed to solve the main limitations of the twisted nematic field effect (TN) matrix LCDs in the late 1980s. These limitations included strong viewing angle dependence and low-quality color reproduction. In-plane switching involves arranging and switching the orientation of the molecules of the liquid crystal (LC) layer between the glass substrates. This is done, essentially, parallel to these glass plates.
Advantages,
IPS panels display consistent, accurate colour from all viewing angles. A state-of-the-art (2014) comparison of IPS vs. TN panels concerning colour consistency under different viewing angles can be seen on the website of Japan Display Inc.
Unlike TN LCDs, IPS panels do not lighten or show tailing when touched. This is important for touch-screen devices, such as smartphones and tablets.
IPS panels offer clear images and stable response time.
Disadvantages[edit]
IPS panels require up to 15% more power than TN panels.
IPS panels are more expensive to produce than TN panels.
IPS panels have longer response time than TN panels.
