Does the motherboard/CPU come with a fan? I don't see it mentioned anywhere.

Ya, your asking this on the motherboard's productpage not the combo's,os I would not realy know for shore. But most cpus come with a fan,  the only exception I can think of is refurbished cpus.In shore you should be good, btw if you want to know more about the stock Intel cpu cooler, look it up, for common use it is ok.

Is this able to support a 64 bit system?

Yes. I have all my OS and software running on 64bit. I couldn't install properly windows server though. So far so good. The performance is awesome! and very stable.

Are the USB 3.0 ports backwards compatible to USB 2.0 accessories?

These USB 3.0 ports meets the requirements of the USB 3.0 standard. USB 3.0 devices are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports. They'll function normally, but only at USB 2.0 speeds.

Will a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 work with this motherboard?

Yes for sure. I have dual gtx 970's on this mobo and it handles great. If I'm not mistaken, this mobo will accept cards from the 700 series. Maybe even 600. Even if I am wrong, that is so far back that it doesn't matter. This one can only do up to 2 cards for SLI mind you. Also if you are considering SLI, there is an SLI cable included with the board plus disks with only the required software. (No bloat cause u can pick the software u install) And i would recommend a FULL tower case. Nothing smaller as the card is quite big if you look at the dimensions. Good luck on ur rig.

Memory:  Is my DDR3 1600 okay to use on this board?

It depends on the specific vendor and specs of your memory sticks.  The safest thing to do is make sure it is on the "Asus Z97-A Series Memory Qualified Vendors List" (QVL).  It should pop up as one of the first items in a Google search.

Does this board come equipped with wifi? I read somewhere that it did but I don't see any thing on the specifications or overview about it.

No, I saw in the manual that there was an internal chip but didn't find it on the board. It might have been for another model. Any pcie express card or USB adapter should do way better than an onboard one anyway.

Yes the Core i5-5690K "devil's canyon" will work with this mother board. however, if you are a noobie computer guy do you really need the K model.  the i5-4690 has a promo code right now, and is a little cheaper.. the K denotes an unlocked cpu modifier which means you can over clock the cpu and gain extra performance from it, This motherboard does have a lot of of over clocking options so the k version would be a good combo if you did intend to buy an after market cpu cooler and over clock. but if you are a noobie and do not intend to over clock you will probably be just as well served with the non K version. hope this helps :-)

The blurb at the start description says this is compatible with DDR3 2000(o.c.) while the description says it is compatible with DDR3 /1600/1333.  I want to use some DDR3 /1600 with this motherboard and an Intel i3 Cpu.  Can I?

Yes... but.  This motherboard is build for speed.  You don't want a lawn mower motor in a corvette...
