Equipped with a keyboard, a touchpad, and a 17" LCD display, the ALTUSEN KL1516 is a SMB-oriented all-in-one KVM switch that allows IT administrators to access and control multiple computers from a centralized location. It connects computers through RJ-45 connectors and Cat 5e/6 cables, which are more economical and space efficient for easy installation. The use of KVM adapter cables for the final linkup enables combination of PCs, Macs, Sun computers, and serial devices on the installation. Its physical design has a unique dual-rail configuration so the LCD monitor and keyboard slide independently of each other, while the housing is slightly less than 1U with top and bottom clearance for smooth operation in 1U of rack space.
Connection through Network CableUsing RJ-45 connectors and Cat 5e/6 cables, the KL1516 KVM console can connect computers up to 40m away with a display resolution of up to 1280 x 1024 at 60Hz. The Cat 5e/6 cable solution is also more economical than other solutions, and more space efficient for easy installation and reconfiguration.
Dual-Rail DesignThe LCD monitor slides independently of the keyboard/touchpad, thus allowing the keyboard to be conveniently stowed out of the way.
Multiple Platform CompatibilityThe KVM adapter cables with automatic conversion allow flexible interface combinations. PCs, Macs, Sun computers, and serial devices can all coexist on the installation.
Cascadable DesignA single console controls up to 16 directly connected computers. You can daisy chain up to 31 additional units to control up to 512 computers.
Flexible Computer SelectionYou can select computers via port selection switches, Hotkeys and intuitive On Screen Display (OSD) menus. The OSD tree structure makes finding and managing computers easy, and the OSD screen automatically adjusts to resolution changes.
SecurityStrong password protection prevents unauthorized access to the installation.
